"Welcome to the beautiful Philippian islands where 12 brand new contestants will be battling it out for the 1 million dollar prize! And this season, we're bringing back Redemption Island, where you have to fight to stay alive in the game after you are voted out."
We see all three tribes in front of Probst.
"Max, how do you think Redemption Island will effect the game?"
"I think that it will further the bigger challenge competitors in the game."
"Joe, how does your tribe compare to the others?"
"I like it for the most part. There seem to be a few weak links."
"Speaking of weak links... we will be voting one person off on each tribe already!"
Kotoran was up first. Colin and Colby had already had some sort of subtle connection, which Max and Silas picked up on. Max and Silas voted for each other, knowing that Colin and Colby would most likely vote together.
"Silas, please reveal your vote."
"Uh, Max."
"Okay, that is one vote Max. Colby, show us your vote."
"Max."
"Thanks, Colby. Colin, you're up."
"Max."
"With 3 votes, Max you are voted out. But who did you vote for?"
"Silas." Max said, disappointed.
CONFESSIONAL: Max
"Being voted out really sucks, and for no reason. I may not be as strong as Silas, but you haven't seen me compete yet."
"Pantat, you will be voting next."
"Steven, please reveal your vote."
"Brandon, is it?"
"Um. Yeah."
"That is one vote for Brandon. Brandon, you're up next."
"Steven, is it?"
Steven laughs nervously.
"We're tied, 1 vote Steven, 1 vote Brandon. Alvard, go ahead and show us your vote."
"Joe."
"Wow, we are in a three way tie. Joe, please show us your vote."
"Steven."
"With 2 votes, Steven you are voted out."
CONFESSIONAL: Steven
"Was I surprised at being voted out first? No. I have always been picked last, in pretty much everything. Everybody underestimates me before they know me, that is just how my life has been. I felt like I had something to prove, but I guess I can't."
"Last but not least, Bajingan, you guys are up."
"Sai, you're up first."
"Drew. Sorry man."
"It's fine."
"That is one vote for Drew. Renny, reveal."
"Drew. Sorry!"
"Yep."
"That is 2 votes for Drew. Drew, who is your vote for?"
"Edelyn."
"That means Drew is voted out, but Edelyn, show us your vote anyways."
"I voted for Drew too." she said, apologetically.
CONFESSIONAL: Drew
"I don't know why they voted me out over some blonde bimbo. Edelyn looks like a twig, but apparently she is more important to the tribe than I am."
CONFESSIONAL: Edelyn
"I don't know, he just looks mean!" she says as she giggles.
"Well, Max, Steven, Drew, you guys aren't voted out just yet. You are forming a brand new tribe, that will go by the name of Farji."
Max, Steven, and Drew's faces all lit up.
"Everybody head back to camp. Here are your maps."
KOTORAN CAMP
Colby and Silas were doing all of the heavy lifting, while Colin sat around.
"You gonna help us out, bud?" Colby asked Colin.
"Haha, man I'm tired. Maybe later."
Later on, Colby pulled Silas to the side.
"That guy is going if we ever lose."
"Sure, sure. Done deal."
CONFESSIONAL: Silas
"So, Colby and Colin seemed to like each other before they really got to know each other. Colby just pulled me to the side and asked about voting Colin out at the first tribal council, which is information I can easily bring to Colin, and I will be in the middle as they fight."
"So, Colby comes to me and tells me that you are next at tribal. What do you think of that?" Silas asks Colin with a grin.
"Did he really? Hey Colby!" Colin calls out.
"Yeah, what?"
"I heard you were targeting me! Thanks to your friend here!"
"What the fuck dude?" Colby asks Silas.
CONFESSIONAL: Colby
"So, apparently Silas the snake goes off and tells Colin about me wanting to vote for him. My tribe sucks, we shouldn't have voted Max out."
PANTAT CAMP
Joe was going all out, and sweating like crazy while Brandon and Alvard were sitting in the ocean.
"We should definitely work together, don't you think?" Brandon asks Alvard.
"Yes, that would be great! Joe is disposable."
CONFESSIONAL: Joe
"So, I'm like, going all out, right? I am trying to build this shelter, but it isn't a one man job! Brandon and Alvard are out there making out in the fucking ocean while I'm in here sweating my tits off. I pray for a tribe swap soon."
BAJINGAN CAMP
Everyone seemed to hit it off early.
"We just need to like, do work and then win." Edelyn tells the tribe.
CONFESSIONAL: Sai
"Yes Edelyn, winning is good. Losing is bad. Thanks for letting us know."
FARJI CAMP
Steven was working really hard at camp, even though he couldn't do much considering his wimpy body.
Drew pulls Max to the side. "Sorry to say it, but he's weak. He'll be no help to us in the challenges at all. Wouldn't be a huge loss if he left."
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
At the challenge, Kotoran placed first, followed by Farji, and then Pantat, sending Bajingan to tribal council.
PAJINGAN CAMP
Sai is talking to Renny. "You seem nice, and I just get good vibes from you. Her on the other hand... well, you know."
"Definitely, I just don't see her going anywhere in the game. Easy vote tonight."
TRIBAL COUNCIL
"Welcome to tribal council. Behind you is a torch, go ahead and get fire."
"Sai, what happened at the challenge?"
"Well Jeff, some people underperformed, plain and simple."
"Like who?"
"Uh, Edelyn."
"Oh my gosh. That was rude, Sai." Edelyn says.
"Well, I'm sorry!" Sai laughs "but it's the truth."
"Should we get to the vote?"
"Might as well." Renny says.
Jeff returns with the urn after they all vote.
"First vote... Edelyn."
"Second vote.... Sai. We're tied, with 1 vote for Edelyn, 1 vote for Sai."
"First person voted out and getting sent to Redemption Island is...
