When thinking about a photo related to Australia, I thought that everyone would either try and go for the beach look, the outback or the Sydney Opera House. However, what I think of when I think of Australia, is one of the biggest growing fashion capitals in the world. People seem to forget about it's capital city, Canberra, and how busy it can be! So this week I went with an Australian model, Gemma Ward, and a different take on this Aussie theme!

As soon as you mentioned that we would be using the Australian culture for the theme of this weeks shoot, I was overwhelmed. Being Australian, I know exactly what the Australian culture is about. But someone who isn't from Australia would obviously have a different impression or idea of what the culture is like, so I felt like I had to show a different, more sophisticated and serious side to Australia. So I chose Samantha Harris to be my model for this week. She's aboriginal, so she makes me feel proud of my aboriginal heritage to see her succeed in the fashion industry, and she's so pretty! She represents what Australia used to be thousands of years ago, and what she does for a living represents what Australia is today. I hope you love this photo as much as I do.

The first thing Ithat came to my mind was Cangurus and Cricket, but then I was like, thats not really interesting. So I searched about the australian culture and I found three things that catched my eye: Nicole Kidman is Australian and I really love her; then I found that Australia has a really powerful source of nature and with that I found the Aboriginal culture. So I tried to use all three in my photo, hope you like it

Australia is such a beautiful place with valleys rivers and mountains. Being down under is such a great experience and i wanted to go out and just be free and enjoy the environment. I went to Moona River Falls and and just let myself go I am so appreciative to be here and to come as far as i did.

I think everyone had different ideas! I love History, backgrounds & learning new things! Back awhile ago, Australians had different tribes with different dances. I'm not known if they still exist today, but I based my photo off that.

I am so excited to be in Australia! When I think of this place I think of a beautiful culture that is always in motion. I also think of deserts and the outback. This picture comes to life with the energy of dancing and the amazing setting.

The beaches is what makes Australia so amazing so i wanted to show the different things that people do. Like bike riding on the beach. Australia is amazing and i am so happy to be here :)
