I have realized most of you dont really know me or my life stories on here, therefor I will fill you all in on the intense medical story. Hopefully by the end you guys will have some great ideas for a tattoo as I have wanted one representing him for a while! :) xx
My twin brother was born premature 3 months, and unfortunately passed away a day later due to the fact his lungs werent developed properly. I on the other hand miraculously stayed in my mother, and was born on schedule 3 months later. Before this point in time there had been no cases in history where the second twin has been born successfully and lived longer than the first being born 2 weeks in advance. Thankfully to my twin, Matthew, premature births of twins were researched and are now looked at and treated in a completely different way.
Some cool additional facts are I am a gemini (symbol of the twin), and left handed (it is said one twin is usually right handed with the other, left). I am open to any ideas and would really like to hear of some symbolic and creative thoughts towards the notion of my tattoo :)
The only idea I have so far is the picture above sketched out, but I hear finding a talented tattoo artist who can pull off a picture could be challenging!!
Everyone seems to be commenting how they are so sorry for my loss, but I am trying to look at the positive and get something in honor of him :) Everything happens for a reason <3 xo
maybe if his hand was smalled than yours (which i assume it was) you could get his print inside yours? like showing that he's still inside your heart and that you still carry him with you?
i have 8 tattoos and idc if people dont like them or whatever. tattoos are supposed to be special for the owner. what other people think doesnt matter! gl and im sorry!
How sad, my granddaughter was born 3 months premature, she survived and is now a healthy 6 year old. They say that premature girls have a better chance of survival than boys :(
Here is a tattoo idea, how about the premature baby awareness ribbon which as I am sure you know is pink and blue with angel wings around it and with your brother's name and the dates. This would be a way to honor him and show prematurity awareness at the same time.
