stop with the fucking WW3 jokes everyone. Imagine if you woke up today and had to leave EVERYTHING you worked for in your life because of the fear of losing your life. It’s so so tone deaf and really disheartening :(.
I agree. I'm happy that these people will likely never know what it is like. People are so desensitized, I don't think they actually understand the magnitude of what is happening.
RawrItsNick i totally understand using humor to cope, but this isn’t our situation to cope with. Nothing is happening to us, and the most that will happen is probably cyber attacks and nothing close to literal explosions and lives of civilians being lost.
I think there's in taste jokes about your own fear over it if that makes sense like im genuinely scared there will be military drafts ect , but the whole " let's go putin" " I don't care albums are coming out that's more important" is absolutley fowl . Literally speaks volumes on people's characters .
captainzacsparrow thank you for this viewpoint, cause you are very right that there is valid fears with the draft and such. But agreed that it’s pretty clear when people are making jokes just to make a joke versus doing it because of fear!
florina exactly that ! 👏 👏👏 its appalling how many are doing it too , people still trying to seek for the attention to be solely aimed at them during a possible global crisis . Absolutley sickening :(
I rly agree, I think there’s a balance like you both mentioned of using humor to cover our fears over something like a draft, but jokes that just make light of the situation and laughing at the loss of life is rly horrible
I didn't joke about World War III. I was in a play called Fiddler on the Roof when I was 14 years old and current events are making me understand why my involvement in that play and why the play itself was so significant. I talked about that; I wasn't joking about WWIII.
