I just got back to my apartment after my political science class. And Im pissed so I thought Id vent in a blog. We were discussing hoe PR(public relations) for a company and politics go hand in hand.You have to know your costumers and your demographics ect. Well one person got everyone talking about the whole Chikfilay(spelling?) debocal that happen what last month or something like that. Anyways the discussion made me think about a few of the things I dislike about the gay community. The major thing is that for some odd reason the gay community feels lke its ok for them and thier supporters to voice thier oppinions.But heaven forbid if someone states a different opinion that person is crusified and turned into a homophobic monster. Now on the other side you had actual dumb ass bigots going to Chikfilay resturaunts because they thought the owner was a like minded bigots. Which in actuallity hes not, he simply stated that he believed in the traditional since of the word marriage. He never said he hated gay people for fucks sakes people his company WILLINGLY HIRES openly gay people. So what the fuck is wrong with him stating his opinion?? Now I will say that he was stupid I mean really stupid for doing so but again I in no way think this man is a homophobe. Lets think about the word opinion for a second by definition an opinion is something that can not be proven or disproven. For example if I say blue is the best color in the world. That is my opinion and my opinion CANNOT be wrong.Now if I were to say that the best color to paint a babies room to have a calm baby is orange. Thats not an opinion there have been scientific studies to see what colors bring out what emotions in humans. Basically what I am trying to say is the gay community could benifit from remembering that not everyone is going to agree with our opinion but that does not automatically make them homophobic. And maybe if we try and see things from thier view and visaversa then the world would go around a lot better.

Before all of you try and say Im homophobic Im openly gay and been in a happy relationship for 4 years. I just see things differently than most gay people and thats ok because its my OPINION and im allowed to voice but negg if ya want to it wont bother me just shows how small minded you are :)
