I don’t have to Google translate a couple of paragraphs. The whole point in getting someone who speaks Spanish to be a mod is to be able to communicate with the Spanish community quicker.
@nothingbuttrouble I don’t have to cosplay a Hispanic man to be a fluent Spanish speaker… I use more Spanish than English on a daily basis at this point considering my work/social life 😂
hey friend, i understand you may speak spanish fluently; call it my proud latino/hispanic heritage that makes me feel uncomfortable having someone who has no connection to the culture, represent it, when they are plenty of individuals here who are able to do so.
nothingbutrouble I get what you’re saying but I consider it close-minded to think that just because I’m white doesn’t mean I don’t have a connection to Hispanic/Latino culture… making some big assumptions about my personal and social life.
I don’t think race matters if the language barrier is resolved. I mean if every country need a mod representing their language and have its roots, I’d like one from Sri Lanka too
