Scenario Aug 28, 2008
imageEveryone wants to play the scenario game.

"Well if BOB goes then you're better." What's that mean? If Bob stays and I save him maybe he'll like me more, maybe someone else who liked Bob wins HoH and the target me.

Scenarios are great to weigh the pros and cons but no matter what you should never feel safe in the tengaged/big brother.

Example Big Brother 10 (If you haven't been up to date don't read on). Ollie was pretty foolish to believe he had any control over that HoH week. I think Dan has proven time and time again he is a deceiving player. And you make a deal that you get all the control? Please!

Ollie why not...uh TAKE CONTROL? There are only two ways to win BB, win power or having people who will back you up. And the only one you can control 100% is having power. If you win every single PoV you are garunteed minimum of top 3. Winning HoH doesn't garuntee your safety to the end. In fact it puts in you jeapordy for the next week. HoH only really gives you better odds on who you will end up with at the end.

Basically what I'm saying is, Scenario's don't mean anything really. Take everything week to week and be the best you can be. You fight hard enough, you'll make it.

I'll be back! Aug 21, 2008
Hey all,

I know I've been away from the game for a little over a week. Very hectic in my life right now, but I promise next week, I'll be back, I'll be playing rookie and I'll come out with GUNS BLAZING!

Woohoo, look'n forward to it.

The deceiver & the deceive Aug 8, 2008
imageThere is a lot of deception going in the game I'm playing right now. A lot of "He said, she said, they said, we said." It's a little unsettling because you really have no idea what people are saying secretly together. Did person A really say what person B says they did? Or did Person B just tell Person C that Person A said something to get Person C to hate person A?
.
Let's say Person B did make it up, they run the chance that Person C will turn on Person A, but also the chance of Person A and Person C talking and finding out Person B is completely lying and turn on them.
.
That's one of the problems of playing the deceiver, if your deception is discovered you have nothing left to hold onto.
.
I am a bit confused in my game. I'm pretty unclear who Person A is and Person B is. I have but a sole person to trust and I rely on them. I hope it pays off.

Alliances... Aug 6, 2008
imageAlliances, how can they help you? When joining an alliance you can either be rest assured that you will all be working together to reach the end together, or constantly checking your back for the hidden dagger.

I believe one of the strongest comparison of this game is to a game of chess. Only instead think of yourself as a single pawn out on the chessboard alone. The other 9 players pawns of the opposite side, all working against you. You must convince people to join your side, and promote people beyond the pawn. Establish a King, the sacred piece that everyone wants to go for but with little to no power. Establish the Queen, the piece that has the most power and can make moves quickly and strongly, but is still not the end of the game if lost.

Consider this, the strongest alliance, everyone is fighting on the same side, but everyone understands their position and their power. Place the pieces in place, set traps for opposing players, and make sacrifices where needed. One hopes you will never have to spring your traps or sacrifice your team. But fight tooth and nail, you will always find yourself in dilema. Hopefully your plan and your set up is better than the others.

Perhaps this wasn't a blog about alliances, as much as game strategy.

Have I confused you??...good my plan is set.

:-D

Huh...I won. Aug 4, 2008
imageWell...that’s a bit of a surprise. I have to say having a good alliance from the start helped. Yeah GSA (Green Shirt Alliance). I have to say we dominated the game, picking off every non-green shirter (for the most part), nothing personnel guys, just an easy way to make decisions and make an alliance for such an inactive group of chatters (less then 150 comments through the whole game! Phew!).

Machka, I’m sorry that you didn’t make it to the final 5 with us. Honestly I had simply forgotten to lock my votes in the night before (believe me or not) and I didn’t think that my lack of voting would have swayed the vote so much you got out. I felt extremely guilty, especially after you had just told us you were backstabbed in your other game/alliance.

Natalie, It really wasn’t anything personnel or against you. I was just shocked that Machka got out, when I thought the rest of the GSA had agreed on you. Not as a personnel thing but it was between you, Megz and Machka, and megz has been MIA since day one.

Well anyways, hopefully we’ll all get another round at it.

The results of my game...pretty sick... Jul 31, 2008
I'm pretty shocked and apalled by the results of my recent game. The guy who was the rudest and just plain *ssh*le actually came in first. I honestly don't understand how, and then the girl who hadn't been on in the past two days made it to 2nd place... Really? I'm very shocked I came in 5th, I was active every single day, I voted both positively and negatively, I sent lots of private messages, the votes on my comments leaned more positive then negative.

I can not believe the guy who got 1st got 1st. It's absolutely mind boggling...it is extremely discouraging.
