Let's try this again...TAR episode 2 play-by-play commentary part 1! Oct 4, 2009
Lance/Keri - YOU IDIOTS.  What freaking law school did you graduate from, anyway?  I suspect that it wasn't Harvard.  Also: SO STUPID - OPEN THE BULLET!  DON'T BE SO BRAINDEAD!  Seriously.

Interesting note - While in Vietnam, the race's flags change from the usual Yellow/Red banner to either a yellow pennant or a yellow/white banner - this is because the colors of the Viet Cong were red and yellow, making it a cultural faux pas to use the regular flags during the race.

LOVE the water dragons, incidentally.  Really nifty props.

Flight Time/Big Easy - EXCELLENT catch on the shorter animals being easier to move.  They've demonstrated that they have both intelligence and physical prowess - they're clearly contenders in the race.

"Dating on and off" has to be the WORST relationship ever described on this game.  The dating couples are bad enough for fighting....Those with a history like this are even worse.

Challenges this far...License plate one was good....Very intelligence-based.  My theory has always been that the race part should be the physical test and the challenge portion should test intelligence/endurance.

The Japanese Gameshow was luck based...but it was also AWESOME.  Poker players have disappointed me, though...I thought they'd be really great at the start.

Yet again, I see the classic mistake made by survivors building a fire - holding the flint a full foot away from the kindling.  The flint needs to be almost touching the material to be burned in order to really work...as they do it, the spark burns out by the time it even reaches the straw.

Ben....Ben, Ben, Ben....Ben.  You're ruining your previously very promising game....Yes, Yasmin's attack on you was ridiculous.  However, bordering on racial slurs, making nonsensical comments and generally being arrogant simply will NOT win you this game.

Russell..you are an insufferable jerk.  It sickens me to know that your game is succeeding....It really does.

Also: This is the ONLY time we'll EVER see Yasmin on the jury side...She'll never make it that far.

Betsy...You had such a promising game.  I'm really sorry to see you go - you would have been fantastic on a tribe that wasn't packed full of morons and arrogant jerks.

Foa Foa will be the next Pagong - just wait and see.

Yasmin's attempt to "help" the other tribe is clearly failing.  She's loud, bossy and not helping her cause in any way, shape or form.  She's a goner....The yelling match with Ben didn't help matters.  'Course, Ben didn't make a very good showing either.

Shambo's play wasn't much better today - she clearly made a mistake in overplaying her abilities.  It's also clear that she's becoming a social outcast.  This is sad....she really could be a good player.

Shockingly enough, it's looking like Russell's plan may actually succeed up to the merge - If he makes it there, though, he's going to merge seriously down and without friends, though.

Mike was clearly overestimating his physical prowess going into the challenge - I think that Medical will allow him to stay in the game, but it's unlikely that he'll survive TC.

Russell's being an idiot in trying to push the tribe into voting out Betsy - she's clearly well-liked, and the other players will probably start to notice exactly what he's doing.  The smart move here is to eliminate Russell before he has an opportunity to build up a stronger alliance and use the idol.

JANK!!!!

Russell finding the idol....ugh.  Ugh, ugh, ugh.    Jaison is a good player, though, and I am hoping that he'll make the logical move here and blindside Russell before he has a chance to use the idol.  Russell showing Jaison the idol was probably not the best move - it's a very good one if Jaison trusts Russell, but it won't simply create trust where there is none.
