pay 25 t's to create a group page for your group game, with no chance of anyone deleting your group, while earning no t's for your hardwork and effort, and you can't see the posts in your group.
or you can pay 0 t's to create a blog post for a blog group game, with a chance someone might just delete your blog, while earning up to 30 t's per blog post for your hardwork and effort, and you can see each and every interaction on your blog post.
tell me, Tengaged. is all lost on Tengaged? or can you override the system with the current settings? you tell me.
The main things are polls. Creating your own polls is exclusive to group games. And there's the like picture gallery thing which blogs don't have.
Also, group tasks on the blogs page sometimes looks convoluted. Like if it's only for a particular group of people, why put it on the blogs page for everyone to see?
The point of a group is to have a set location where everything can be seen and posted for those who are most interested, the players. While a blog may provide T$, the loss of that organization plus the inability to control who can post makes it an inefficient means for hosting.
I cant speak for most hosts, but I host for the enjoyment of the game not for the profit. And now with that interface gone, it becomes an odd adventure.
Yoshitomi hey. I do see your one valid point about having a group to yourself, because of the polls. but that can be conducted through PM or through a blog post too. or anything off of the website as well. quickly on the subject of the picture gallery, you can add a quick photo in with each blog post, if you find that desirable. but I see more and more people now recommending "proboards" to host group games on until the groups page is fixed. Proboards were around, well before Tengaged and MySpace were even notable. just about every "online reality game" before Tengaged was hosted through a Proboard. it's a solid website.
what's wrong with having a group game being publicized? I don't see any issues with that. just tell each of the players to follow your blog every day and it'll work out.
turney1805SurvivorFan37 to reword what Ke$ha once said, "just meet me at my blog with a jack and the jukebox". set your new location at your profile page. it seems very easily attainable that way as well. and you do have the ability to control who can post on your blog and who cannot post on your blog. use filters or just go in and delete the unnecessary stuff? again. we don't have the conveniences of "a group" right now. so you gotta roll with what you have and roll on. and I was just stating an obvious "alternative" to hosting, as the group page is current down. pick your poisons.
