so I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with Rookies charities. I am able to see both the pros and cons of hosting your own charity game. However, I'm a firm believer in accountability and being organized/responsible for when it comes to hosting your own charity on Tengaged.
First and foremost, there's no reason that a Rookies charity should take an entire day to fill! If you're going to host a charity on Tengaged, get everyone on board before you take up a game slot. I'm looking at you mrmuffinman. you took at least 42 hours to fill a Rookies game? That is just unacceptable. The amount of time your Rookies charity game should take to fill should take less than 8 hours to complete. If you don't have enough friends to fill your own charity, a charity for you isn't for you. No exceptions.
Don't expect every Tengaged user to just roll over, waiting for their belly to be scratched like a little puppy. If you are going to have a charity game, be active and be aggressive in ensuring your charity is successful for yourself and for your betters. I'm looking at you HRHjonathan. I don't care what excuses you use, if your charity has been going on for 5 days and you have been inactive for 3 1/2 of those days (for your OWN CHARITY GAME may I mention), don't expect me to keep pushing you towards free karma and Tengaged money. If you won't return ANY of my messages, create a spam line for when you go to sleep or go to work, or at least notify me of who we should be voting out each day change, your charity will be DOOMED. why should I keep someone WHO ISN'T EVEN TRYING to win? especially when it is YOUR OWN CHARITY?
Lastly, I think Rookie charities must have SIGNIFICANT PURPOSES. You shouldn't host a charity for yourself if you haven't reached Gold color level by yourself or if you haven't played 500 games on Tengaged. and I also think Charity redoes are totally ridiculous. I'm looking at you Matedog1209. If you have reached Gold color level, your charity will actually mean something and will most likely be held accountable. If you have played 500 games on Tengaged, you have experience and your charity will most likely be held accountable. I find the most ridiculous purposes for "charity" on Tengaged and I sit back and laugh at all of the users who lose 30 t's over something that could have been easily avoided. ACTUALLY PLAY THE KARMA BASED GAMES AND BUILD RAPPORT AMONGST TENGAGED USERS FOR ONCE.
Remember, a charity is a voluntary act of giving help, typically in the form of money, to those in need. Just because you want a Rookies charity for yourself, doesn't mean you need a Rookies charity for yourself.

For some reason TGers are under the impression that they can just have a charity without inviting friends to help. They just expect random people to help and that's why it takes forever. Lol. Matedog1209 this is coming from someone who has had "5 charities" ruined so far? am I right about that? you had a 100th game charity, a 200th game charity, a 200th redo game charity, a Light Green charity, and a 300th game charity/Blue charity so far? that I know of? don't get me started about frookies now. but yeah. you can pray for me later. you have my permission. I need it.

Tengaged obviously agrees. be responsible and accountable for your own charity. don't expect Tengaged to simultaneously agree with your game plan. get real. but yeah man. we are still friends. and I haven't attacked anyone or started any form of drama. I just stated facts and I used examples of "what not to do". no harm, no foul here.

the problems with asking people to be accou ntable for a charity that has not even hapened yet is that the majority of players here are self-entitled, self-righteous a-holes who whine and cry if they have to wait so that someone other than YOU can get what you want.
ya know, (oh wait, of course you don't) this site , before the idea of charities was introduced, was so competative is was nearly impossible to gain levels and T's, if you were a low color grade.
i'm sorry your impatience is uncontrolable, but to whine about it is silly. and all these high level players bitching about it is just funny as hell to me. 'poor me, im better than you so i should not have to wait'.
though i must say i agree with the thought that if it is YOUR charity, you gotta play it or you lose it.
p.s. charities are for milestones, not just birthdays or round numbers and the cool thing is you don't have to agree with them to just bet and make T's.

Got mine to fill in like 5 hours, no I'm not gold level - but I had the people and my frat to help, and actually a few from the community jumped in before my last few joins I had worked out.
I'm poor, trying to get T$. I wish there were more charities, that filled faster. Could really use a good cash flow.
Claud I have no idea if you are trying to bark up my tree, but if you are, please notice that I did mention in my blog that I see the "pros and cons" of hosting your own charity on this website. and for the record, I have never hosted a charity and nor do I ever plan to host a charity for myself. not even for TV star. and my patience is absolutely controllable. please look at my account on here. I'm just out here stating facts. and Tengaged agrees with me. so you can just sit down and chill. doesn't matter what color level you are to me, your opinion matters to me the most. that's how I roll.
but in closing, you gotta play your charity to win it. that's how it works in my books.
MightyGoober the Tengaged community is a hit or miss sometimes when it comes to hosting charities. certain weeks, there is a steady cash flow of T$ coming in. some weeks, it is awfully slow. it just depends. but like I said earlier, I can't really disagree with the system entirely. I enjoy watching others' have successful charities, because that means free T$ to me. as those are really, really hard to come by on here.
