All Time Low- Great vocals and band, really liked this. Great Start!
Gareth Emery- Vocals were strong, and beat was good.
St Vincent- This was bloody awful, the vocals weren't good, and it dragged on and on.
Above And Beyond- Liked the beat, vocals, and message.
Mr Zip- Really? Why?
Sia- I think this was nice, the intro was awful but the chorus was good. Overall nice.
Matt Hires- I think this was ok, it was intriguing, but it was too simple.
Sidoine- He has a good voice, but the song was not my style, it wasn't enjoyable.
Astro- I didn't enjoy this much, but it was ok.
Charlie XCX- I kinda liked this, it was enjoyable.
Hot Natured- This was unique and ok, but I don't get into this boring type of music.
Neko Case- I liked this, the voice is interesting, it was great.
Ferry Corsten- The video was interesting, and the song was entising, I liked it.
Greto Svabo Bech- Past three singers have sounded the same, but this was better than them.
Man Man- No, no , no, no
Yuridia- Beautiful voice, I enjoyed this.
Tv On The Radio- I think this was ok, the beat was better than the vocals.
Lindsay Pavao- I love voices like this, it was nice.
Royal Blood- Love the voice, but the guitar wasn't so great.
Bo Burnham- I think this was funny, but the song was awful.

1. All Time Low - I know I've heard this song before but I don't know whether it was on the radio or not. Either way its not bad.
2. Gareth Emery - I expected this to take a certain turn, and when it didn't I was kind of surprised.
3. St. Vincent - This is one of those songs and videos that had me mesmerized for absolutely no reason. It was borderline creepy. The BG music sounded like something that'd be played over a Mario Party mini-game.
4. Above & Beyond - I like that thus far the songs this week aren't as weird as they usually are. I generally like these first four songs.
5. Mr Zip - What in the hell...This makes me want to submit BOOTY by Tone the Chiefrocca from AGT...
6. Sia - I've heard the song before and I still cant handle the way she says Chandelier.
7. Matt Hires - Wasn't bad. It was relaxing in a way. I can't explain it.
8. Sidoine - Oh good a song that isn't in goddamn English. PASS. [Unless its particulary good I will never like things I cant understand]
9. Astro - This is most definitely not English and if it is I have no idea what is being said anyways, so pass again.
10. Charli XCX - I've tried listening to a lot of her work as a solo artist and I've never cared for it. I dunno why, just not my thing somehow.
11. Hot Natured - This went nowhere for me.
12. Neko Case - Another song that isn't bad but isn't particularly special to me either. IDK if subconsciously I don't like songs without a video but maybe thats it.
13. Ferry Corsten - I liked it when the singing was actually happening. When it was just the beat it was giving me a bit of a headache.
14. Greta Svabo Bech - Bleh it was boring to me. Perhaps she should stick to writing with Cher.
15. Man Man - The answer is most definitely NO to whether this song is good or not, at least for me. It went absolutely nowhere for me.
16. Yuridia - Unless its Shakira (or JLo occasionally), again, I don't care for Spanish songs. That being said if I had been able to understand this it probably would have scored high for me so take that as you will.
17. Tv On The Radio - I think people could guess how I'd feel about this song before I write anything. It's not my type of thing.
18. Lindsey Pavao - All I know is that Christina Aguilera should have given Lindsey more points than Chris so she could have made finals because she could have done really well with a label.
19. Royal Blood - This was just a bit dull for me. Sorry.
20. Bo Burnham - REALLY TOLIS GRODNER?

01) All Time Low - 'A Love Like War' - This beat kills. Guitars and drums bring it along. It's not like this song is deep. But it's extremely catchy. And my heart is on fire, much like my loins. So this is speaking to me. This song knows my inner depths more than any person has ever known.

02) Gareth Emery  - 'U (ft. Bo Bruce)' - Lovely calming beat. Normally I wouldn't say that a dance song is inherently calming, but this is just a tranquil roll. The tempo change is a bit abrupt though and that took me out of my trance. The rest of the song tends into typical dance though. This actually is starting to feel too formulaic. I appreciate the effort, but a bit disjointed musically throughout.

03) St. Vincent - 'Digital Witness' - I just can't. Too awkward for my taste. I do appreciate the attempt at use of horns though.

04) Above & Beyond - 'Alchemy (feat. Zoë Johnston)' - It's pleasant. Repetitive yes. It reminds me of a day when I played this app "alchemy" for about 4 hours straight. It felt incomplete, and I wondered where my time went after it.

05) Mr Zip - 'Where Me Keys, Where Me Phone' - From the opening, I got so excited about the possibilities for this song. It does not disappoint! I love that it's not afraid to include kids into the song as well. Hearing this came from BGT makes me like the song less actually.

06) Sia - 'Chandelier' - Nothing can beat Breathe Me. This song starts off so badly, and it has autotune, but the passion in the chorus gets me. If the song could have a different verse, this song would kill. This could be a great audition song because of the vocal acrobatics. Acoustically this song will do so well and without the enunciated stylizations in the beginning.

07) Matt Hires - 'Forever' - Love this artist and this song. I thought about using it, but then I found Restless Heart first, ha! The edge in his voice makes the song better, but the string section is what really gets me in the verses. The chorus changes the tempo slightly, but it's still quite nice. Also how pretentious can you be to want to be punk/emo but then suddenly discover Tom Petty and Bob Dylan? I like Hires a lot, but seriously - how can you ignore the classics because punk/emo derives from classic rock anyway.

08) Sidoine - 'On Ne Vit Qu'Une Fois' - Lovely song. Great voice, catchy. The song is quite French though in its style. The strum of the guitar doesn't veer too far from the typical. I quite enjoyed it. Not much else I can say.

09) Astro - 'Panda' - Short, sweet, repetitive, awesome.

10) Charli XCX - 'Boom Clap' - So I'm reading "Fault in Our Stars" right now, and this song fits perfectly. Why? Because it's young, a bit colicky, way too precocious and slightly annoying, yet it feels good, and it moves you along.

11) Hot Natured  - 'Reverse Skydiving (feat. Anabel Englund)' - A bit whiny, doesn't seem to go anywhere, but it does have a nice rhythm to it.

12) Neko Case - 'City Swans' - Ah this voice. It has a groundedness to it. There's texture to it, even though it's nothing too complicated.

13) Ferry Corsten - 'Many Ways (ft. Jenny Wahlstrom)' - Great opening with the keyboard. I can sense that dance-pop is trending in TSC. This one works quite well. It varies enough to keep my interest and the chorus explodes in the right way.

14) Greta Svabo Bech - 'Shut Up and Sing' - Voice is a plus. But the song doesn't feel like it goes anywhere. It bored me so.

15) Man Man - 'Head On (Hold On To Your Heart) ' - Holy, I think I've heard of this before. I like! Maybe because it was wxpn. This sounds like bibbles' music. I hope so, just because I really like this one and I desperately want to love her entry.

16) Yuridia - 'Ya te Olvidé' - Although she hails from Mexico, this song and her voice is so Spanish. Such an empowering heartbreak song. This belongs in Eurovision.

17) TV On The Radio - 'Will Do' - I've always appreciated what they try to do. Reminds me of The Dears

17) TV On The Radio - 'Will Do' - I've always appreciated what they try to do. Reminds me of The Dears a lot. This song is nice. Nothing to take home on an LP though.

18) Lindsey Pavao - 'No Revelation' - This sounds like a late 90s college rock radio station. I listened to those a lot. Not my thing anymore.

19) Royal Blood - 'Little Monster' - Never was a fan of this genre. However, that voice is silky beneath all of that reverberation.

20) Bo Burnham - 'Repeat Stuff' - Meh, it's funny, but that's it.

1)        All Time Low: Typical whiney teen angsty pop rock, not at all enjoyable
2)        Gareth Emery: I remember Bo Bruce, she did alright in the Voice UK, but that show sucks so who gives a fuck really, This song is fun to listen to, I could honestly see it do very well in the charts, but at the end of the day all it is, is paint by numbers chart dance.
3)        St. Vincent: I have heard a lot about her, and this doesn’t completely live up to the hype, but I still enjoy it, I like her voice, and I like the beat, but it feels a little disjointed.
4)        Above & Beyond: I think I prefer this to the Gareth Emery song, they are very similar, but this has a really strong beat and bass, so I’m impressed.
5)        Mr Zip: Obligatory joke song, NEXT.
6)        Sia: Well here she is, I am a huge fan of hers, Isn’t she a little obvious now? This song is amazing, I really think she’s a huge talent, and she should be a bigger solo talent.
7)        Matt Hires: Didn’t expect myself to like this as much as I did, very well produced, great hook, I really like it!
8)        Sidoine: Obligatory foreign song, I honestly don’t think a song should be penalized for being in a different language, and it seems like Aquamarine votes based on that so (dull). Anyways, this was alright, but it seems a little too easy listening boring for me.
9)        Astro: Oh another foreign song, I love the beat in this, I remember hearing it before on FIFA, forgot how much I enjoyed it!
10)         Charli XCX: as with Sia, is she too obvious of an artist? Idk, I’ve seen Charli live before, she opened for Ellie Goulding a year ago, I like this song, but it is not her best, that is reserved for You (Ha Ha Ha), it builds nicely though.
11)         Hot Natured: Nifty little beat behind this, kinda downtempo but still uptempo, idk how to explain it, but I really enjoy it, vocals are alluring as well!
12)         Neko Case: It’s a bit boring, it seems like she’s just going around in circles tbh, nothing is grabbing my attention
13)         Ferry Corsten: Is this another one to compete with Above and Beyond and Gareth Emery? Dance Songs with Female featuring artists, what puts this apart from the other 2 is its nice vocals, but tbh all 3 are starting to mesh into the same song for me :P When you’ve heard one, you’ve heard them all!
14)         Greta Svabo Bech: She was in Eurovision 2012 yeah? For Iceland? Regardless, love this, very cool beat, very unique vocals, I really like it, damn you Scandinavia and your amazing music!
15)         Man Man: I don’t know why, but I actually really enjoyed this, I love the production, I’m a real sucker for Violins, nice one here!
16)         Yuridia: This starts kind of like a Celine Dion power ballad lol, it picked up a bit, but still feels extremely old fashioned and dull, not strong at all.
17)         TV On The Radio: His vocal is very like Damon Albarn’s from Gorillaz, is it actually him or not? Ok, it’s not but it’s mellow yet still engaging and interesting, I will look further into this band!
18)         Lindsay Pavao: Low rent Regina Spektor, NEXT.
19)         Royal Blood: Now for a nice change of pace! Funky bassline indeed! Because this stands out so much, I can actually see myself giving this a good amount of points, nice pick! Very strong
20)         Bo Burnham: LOL this is was really funny, not sure I can give it an awful lot of points because it’s just not a commercial song, but I did enjoy it! Very clever!

1)        All Time Low – I’m not usually a fan of pop punk bands, but I quite liked this. I loved the power and conviction behind the vocals and the instrumentation reflects that with the strong drumbeat on the title lyrics. It’s pretty simple, but little nuances, especially in the delivery, elevate this from being generic for me. Good start!
2)        Gareth Emery – I do really like the fragility in her voice and its inflections and a nice style is set up within the first few bars. The transition into its next section is a bit off though and then when that rather grating synth sound came in, it lost its style a bit and became a tad disjointed. It has potential with her voice and all, but it didn’t all come together well enough.
3)        St. Vincent – I was toying with submitting this, but it’s very out there. Kudos to whoever did. My foot was tapping within the first few seconds. It’s quite experimental, but is still grounded enough with its structure for me to enjoy it. I’m liking her new sound – very funky. It’s very Talking Heads, whom I love.
4)        Above and Beyond – I found that first verse a bit weird. The energy stimulated from the instrumentation was not reflected in that rather passive vocal. It gets a bit better as it goes on, but the odd tone still kind of clashes with the style for me. A bit too weird
5)        Mr. Zip – Hmmm. No thanks. Whilst I can appreciate its humour and I’m liking the Caribbean vibe, me in TSC mode discounts it
6)        Sia – This is a bit different from what I know her for. It does feel like she’s trying to get this in the charts and I can see it getting there maybe. Although it peaked very early and plateaued there for a while, her voice is just amazing – the rawness, the rasp, the passion. If she didn’t try so hard with making it more chart-worthy and put more of what she's used to, I think this would’ve been pretty great. Still good though.
7)        Matt Hires – I didn’t feel as engaged as I thought I would. Very simple in its structure and his vocal isn’t original. He has a very fast vibrato too which you hear in the quieter bits, which is kind of quirky, but it’s buried in all of the instrumentation when he goes up high. It’s a tad repetitive too. It’s pleasant, but nothing ground-breaking.
8)        Sidoine – This is the French YOLO song. The musical nature of the French language gives it a nice flowing quality, but this was a bit too choppy and staccato at times in the instrumentation and his delivery for the flow to really come across. It does have a quite slick flow in some of his lyrics in the verses though. It’s quite a nice beat, but not overly engaging once more.
9)        Astro – There’s way too much going on. That chorus just clashed so much for me. When that smoothed out in the next section, it was a bit better, but the chords in the synth bass still clashed a bit. Not my style at all.
10)        Charli XCX – Pretty darn precocious yet still has this innocence about it. Way too repetitive and not my cup of tea, sorry.
11)        Hot Natured – Just as I was hoping for a stronger bass to ground it a bit more, it came. Those lyrics are a bit odd as is its style in general. The introduction of that cosmic synth sound was a bit too much and clashed a bit too much. It’s a bit one-dimensional and it certainly sent me into another dimension. Too odd for me.

12)        Neko Case – I quite like the voice, but the style didn’t engage me. It felt a bit like an album track and it was a bit passive. When it ventured into something more interesting, the transitions were a bit off and then it just went back into something more simple and conventional too quickly. It didn’t have clear direction either. Meh
13)        Ferry Corsten – Very similar to what I’ve already heard in this contest and I’m starting to get bored of it, which doesn’t bode well for it. She’s got a quirky voice, but some sections of the song are a bit grating and generic for me.
14)        Greta Svabo Bech – Ooh, something a bit quirkier and more different finally. I like the triplet beat of the drum when it builds, but then it kind of fizzled out. I wish it built a bit more, her voice, as nice and quirky as it was, I wish that built and showed a bit more power and passion when it built into something more cinematic. The styles mishmashed a bit and her vocal was a bit too cutesy. It has potential, but doesn’t come together too well again.
15)        Man Man – His earthy, raspy vocal doesn’t go too well with pizzicato strings. When more instruments start to come into the picture though, it does flow quite nicely. The instrumentation did still feel a bit too cutesy for his vocal at times. It needed another dimension to it and maybe one that suited his tone a bit more. I still quite liked it though
16)         Yuridia – It sounds quite Eurovision. Despite not understanding the lyrics, you can really hear the power behind her voice, so I would assume the lyrics are rather powerful too. It’s quite conventional, so much so I was even expecting a key change. Rather pleasant listening though, I suppose.
17)        TV on the Radio – I was expecting one of a few different songs. It’s not their best, but it’s alright albeit a bit passive and unengaging. It does build in energy slightly during the bridge, but it still needed a bit more energy after that build. It was a bit lacklustre overall
18)        Lindsey Pavao – It’s quite minimalist. If that’s the case, her voice and the lyrics do need to be quite captivating and I didn’t get that. There are some melodies and hooks littered throughout which add a bit of a character, but it’s rather unengaging again.
19)        Royal Blood – The instrumentation is quite heavy, but the softer vocal draws comparisons to lighter rock artists like Matt Bellamy from Muse. His vocal suits it more when he goes into his higher register. I agree with the facts underneath. It seems like a mix between The White Stripes in their riffs but has the bluesy feel of The Black Keys. It’s certainly intriguing.
20)        Bo Burnham – I like his style of stand-up. It’s certainly funny, but doesn’t have enough substance for me to be able to compare it with other songs I have and to consider it for points.

1) All Time Low - Not my favorite, it's a bit loud but alright.
2) Gareth Emery - Ehh nothing too special, not into it.
3) St. Vincet - Okay this was so weird, BUT i love the background, it's awesome.
4) Above and Beyond - I liked the chorus, overall it was sort of weird.
5) Mr. Zip - This...is...the.. MOST AMAZING THING IN THE WORLD.
6) Sia - I like her "elastic heart". This wasn't as good, but I still liked it.
7) Matt Hires - This is a good contest so far. I liked this, it's something I'd download.
8) Sidoine - The translation I did on it is "YOLO" basically. Instant points..haha jk. It wasn't bad though, debating on whether he's equivalent to 1D in France though.
9) Astro - My ears ;[
10) Charli XCX - not bad! I like her with Iggy Azalea and Icona Pop...cool to seeing her do her own thang.
11) Hot Natured - She has a good voice, the song has a good beat as well.
