This Duel of Destiny is based on the concept of basic business in that you always want to remain at the top of the food chain. If you are ever at the bottom of the food chain you will be fed to the sharks.
So this Duel will be based on the card game which was also seen on Wil Wheaton's Tabletop Season 1 known as Get Bit.
Get Bit! is, at the core, a bluffing game – with a good dose of strategy and a bit of luck thrown in. You are in control of a swimming robot (yup – a robot); who is doing it’s best to survive a foray into the ocean with 3 of his comrades. A hungry shark comes along and begins chasing after the hapless mechanical constructs – every turn eating a limb off one of the poor robot heroes.
Your goal is to make sure TWO your robot companions (opponents) are devoured before you are.
Each player will be represented by one swimmer. The plastic swimmer figures are placed in order from top to bottom based on the Weekly Rankings along a straight line on the table, with the shark at the bottom.
Each player is then given 5 cards with values, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively
Each turn the players choose one card from their hand and place it face down in front of them – revealing their value simultaneously after everyone has chosen.
The lowest number revealed is placed at the top of the chain, then the next highest number is placed at the top of the chain, etc. Players who play a value which ties another player will not move. After all cards are revealed and the swimmers are moved, the one at the back of the line (nearest the shark) loses a limb.
Once you use a numbered value card such as number 3, you cannot use it again until the other 4 cards are used so if this was live (like it was meant to be) you need to keep track of what your opponents use. But, since it is non-live since you all couldn't meet it comes down to luck and what you think your opponent will do.
Each player has 4 limbs, thus 4 lives. Once you lose all lives you are out. The first 2 players to lose all limbs will be eliminated. The advantage splozojames50 and MrOrange890 will get is a piece of meat giving them 5 lives instead of 4.
So before tomorrow's Worldly Challenge you need to send me your moves for FOUR ROUNDS. An example would be:
ROUND 1: 3, 2, 4, 5, 1
ROUND 2: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
ROUND 3: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
ROUND 4; 5, 4, 2, 1, 3
Each round will have 5 total limbs (lives) being lost with the first turn being the number on the left then going to the right by one.
If you send NOTHING by 7 pm est (the next Worldly Challenge) then you will be AUTOMATICALLY ELIMINATED.
Good luck.
