This Assessment, I have decided, will NOT be taking Episode 7 into account. It would be unfair to do so since I need to keep them at an even pace AND because this is still Thanksgiving we are on here. Therefore, my thoughts about what happened are updated here through Episode 6. So before we head on to Episode 7, let’s say a heartfelt goodbye to those we have lost.
In Memorium: https://youtu.be/_wSWMgNW4PU RyanAndrews – Parker Watson – EPISODE 2 – EPISODE 4 – Cause of death: Eaten by a bloody walker Probably the least surprising death ever. I mean, I thought Daniel killed him in Episode 3, but him dying one episode later to a walker isn’t that far off, I guess. But unlike Lucia, I probably won’t be missing him.
Now onto the survivors:
Iris Sinclair – EPISODE 1 or 3 – I’m up and down about Iris. On one hand, I think she’s right a lot of the time to question Henry’s so-called “leadership”, but at the same time, I feel like she worries all too much. But I guess I can get behind it. I do think the bandana men are from her past, and I would still love to see her origin stories.
MrPokeguy9 – Chris Luna – EPISODE 2 – Of Oli’s characters, I prefer Chris a lot more now. He’s acted pretty rational so far and has known what was best for the group, especially when it came to Daniel. He’s even been able to note that something had been bugging Madison ever since that note was left. What happens to him next, I do look forward to seeing.
MrPokeguy9 – Daniel Misslebrook – EPISODE 2 – Here is the bitterest orangutan towards Buffy. He is so scared of her that he has really felt the need to hide from the rest of the group. Since WHEN was that a smart idea? Then again, this guy can’t even play a game of chess, so I guess I shouldn’t too surprised. He just doesn’t mesh well with me at all. Rocketokid13 – Sierra Quinn – EPISODE 1 – If anyone’s come a long way since the last Assessment, it’s Sierra. After Iris’ mention of Donald Trump and a consoling session or what have you, she is finally contributing to the group. It was kind of a cop-out to have her be the indirect cause to starting a fire at the hotel, but whatever. Sierra’s still really grown on me. Katherinee_ – Madison Argent – EPISODE 1 – If I had to pick one song to describe any cast member of this blog series, I’d pick Disturbia from Rihanna to represent Madison. Ever since she saw the note, she has been spiraling down to a deep, dark abyss of worry, and I don’t think telling Tisha what happened really gave her any help. It could also be her military background or whatever kicking in because I have heard stories about what happens to military people who have seen things that no man should ever see, but at the same time, Madison is starting to become unstable, and I feel like it could end up being a hindrance to her in the worst way possible and be what kills her in the end. rippyroo – Sue Clarke – EPISODE 1 – Well Sue really is one to pick up on people, huh? I mean, she literally sniffed out Holdyn’s secret out of his ass after epically surviving a hotel burndown that also involved Henry. I mean, Sue has a lot of respect from me. However, that leg of hers really worries me. hints – Tisha Mai – EPISDOE 2 – I’m gonna be honest, I feel like Tisha is every bit as shady as Buffy is. I mean, how much of Tisha’s character have we REALLY seen up to this point? She has been there for Madison when she needed to get what she saw that night out of her system, but a part of me feels like there is a bigger agenda that Tisha is really planning. tkoj555 – Buffy Grey – EPISODE 2 – Okay, is this witch seriously trying to get herself killed? I mean, I think even THESE guys are less suicidal than her:
Mind you, those kids I’m talking about go straight into a Restricted Area of a dinosaur theme park with an evil predator on the loose. That’s how much Buffy is trying to get herself killed with her psychotic tendencies. Also, the whole “They made me do it” that Buffy admitted to? That kind of put the icing on the cake for me, but I also think because of it, she’s not the only one who wants herself to die off. _ivyyy_445 – Henry Jaxxon – EPISODE 1 – Being completely honest, Henry is so full of himself that he can’t smell the shit coming out of him.
Having taken the leadership position, his qualities come out to be very unbecoming of a leader. His ideas are ideas that could get the group killed. I mean, seriously, ASK THE FUCKING BANDITS FOR HELP WHEN YOU ARE RAIDING THEIR SECRET STASH!? ARE YOU A FUCKING BRAINDEAD KOALA!? I think even a cavemen would know that would be not a good idea. He might as well make his mascot a “Kill Us All” logo, smother the group in Southern barbecue sauce, and walk straight into a herd of walkers. Aydanmac01 – Holdyn Maring – EPISODE 1 – More and more Holdyn is beginning to become less important to me as a character. At this point, he’s all but faded into the background with everything else going on, but he still has one thing that keeps him relevant. It’s his secret that he’s still in the closet. That being said, I don’t dislike him or anything.

I’m not well-versed on holidays, so yeah. lol I have thought about making a blog series of my own, but I don’t know what it is I want to do for that. Maybe the idea will come soon.

So I am an episode late with this. This was a pretty busy and sleep-deprived weekend for me, and this Thanksgiving weekend will be even tougher for me. But at the same time, I guess it’s better that I did this now as opposed to ending at Episode 3. Episode 4 gave me things I really needed to know that makes this assessment much more clear.
Anywho, no one has died, so no “In Memorium” segments, but let us see how each character stands with me. As always, my character comes first, so Teresa will be the first person to get assessed. As people might know, I have done assessments for Aydanmac01 in the past when the Descendants have aired, and other series that have gotten the assessment treatment include a Walking Dead series, One Killer, Wrolds End, and most recently Death Awakens, so Guilt becomes the 6th series to receive my assessments.
Teresa Rhee – EPISODE 1 – To be honest, had I done the assessment after the last episode, Teresa would have been one characters I would have had like zero words for. She didn’t even speak till this episode. I went with the Cloud Atlas approach when making this character because, in all honesty, when I had my big Cloud Atlas phase last fall, the one character that really stuck out to me was Sonmi-451, so basing a character off of her felt just right. From what I get about Teresa, I really like that she isn’t just mean to people like some other people. But at the same time, I really want to see her grow because I know she has a lot of potential. For now though, she’s just a pretty irrelevant character compared to the rest of the cast.
RyanAndrews – Lela Patterson – EPISODE 1 – The obvious main protagonist in this series. After what happened, I really feel bad for Lela, but at the same time, if you count everything she’s done, she had it coming to her. Now that being said, I do hope she recovers from her predicament. topazisqueen – Tabatha Rose – EPISODE 1 – As big a character as Tabatha has been so far, she’s a hard person to find words for. But a good place to start might be a bit paranoid. She’s very aware of how much her popularity could decline if her big secret comes out, which we all know will happen at some point. I mean, yes, she’s lost Michelle, but that don’t really mean anything. Apparently Arbor High is pretty harsh against any kind of minorities because it is such a corrupt school, so Tabatha would really be down in the dumps if she were exposed. Tkoj555 – Eris Daniel – EPISODE 1 – Eris isn’t exactly my favorite person in the cast, but he isn’t the worst. I don’t really care that much for him, but I’m kind of torn about his relationship with JJ. Does he love him or not? I mean, yes, they had sex, but it’s only 4 episodes in. It’s gonna get out sooner or later. A positive I do have with Eirs though is that he says a lot of things that are in my mind as I read these episodes, such as Rhett’s opinions being shit. Jjred45 – JJ Slone – EPISODE 1 – Pretty much the same thing I’ve said about Eris goes for JJ as well. He just isn’t someone I’m too big on for either end. In fact, he seems rather impulsive. Now, considering Eris had left JJ sleeping naked on the floor, someone’s gonna find JJ and publicly humiliate him, just like Melinda did to Lela. Fell6 – Sarah Bellum – EPISODE 1 – Let’s be honest. If I could have cared any less about Sarah, I think my heart would turn into the continent of Antarctica on the month of June and everywhere around me would be sounding this song in the most extreme ways one could possibly think of.
THAT is how little I care about Sarah’s character. Wanna know why? She seems like a minion to Melinda and does nothing to make herself stand apart from the crowd and it’s really not classy to read about. If she can come to her own, then good for her. It miht make me link to her more. But as it is, she’s just a solid no for me. Zuelke – Melinda Feloné Hollingsworth – EPISODE 1 – Melinda is a Regina George type of character, but anyone who really knows me knows that Mean Girls was not my cup of tea. To me, it’s just one of the most overrated movies I have watched in the past decade. Sorry, but that’s just how it is. So moving on, has Melinda even TYRIED to get Lela’s side of the story? She seems like one of those people who judge before they get to know, and by that, I mean she’s an old hag who needs to take a nosedive into the depths of obscurity so that she finally gets a dose of reality handed to her.
And watch, now that I’ve just said this about Melinda, she gon try to expose. What’s she got on me? Garrett_Auckland – Rhett Burke – EPISODE 1 – Just like Melinda, Rhett is fucking awful in every sense of the word. He pretended to cheat on Melinda just to get Lela exposed? What a dirty rat!
Krisstea – Colby Carson – EPISODE 1 – And the streak of despicable characters just keeps on going. With Colby, this sleeze cheats to get ahead. Um, didn’t Quinton do this EXACT same thing in Descendants before Crimson ratted him out to Tisha? Seriously, what on God’s green earth are you thinking!? I feel like Colby might be the bane of my existence, but we’ll see. Kelly2722 – Giana Albright – EPISODE 1 – Finally, a character that DOESN’T make me cringe! Giana actually seems really nice, but at the same time, she isn’t exactly the most memorable person in the cast. I think that’s because she’s taken a backseat to the main people in the cast, which means that the wide-open mouth that resembles the line between Main Characters and Recurring Characters is much more gaped open than it’s been in Descendants. My main hope for Giana is that she doesn’t become a huge gigantic bitch like Melinda has already turned out to be because Giana while really seems genuine on the outside, a part of me thinks she is astronomically fake. Coolkat – Brynn CarMichael – EPISODE 1 – I gotta give props to Brynn for sticking by Elena when she could easily have ratted both her and Colby out. By doing so, Brynn proves she can actually be a good friend to people she’s really close with. However, outside Colby’s situation though, there really isn’t much I can say about Brynn. I hope she will come into her own and soon. Katherinee_ - Izumi Akazawa – EPISODE 1 – Like Teresa, Izumi is just someone we haven’t really gotten to know. In a sense, she and Teresa have basically been thrown into the abyss of the forgotten for other characters such as Lela, Melinda, Colby, and Rhett. So much of what I have said in hopes for Teresa are my hopes for Izumi too. imprincearthur – Jean Mott – EPISODE 1 – Yet another person who hasn’t really had much of a presence in this series. He seems like a womanizer, but really, he’s never seen without Mikey, making me think he might be Mikey’s Sarah. I’ll give him a chance to prove me wrong, but yeah, I don’t really much care for him as of right now. MrPokeguy9 – Oli Grubb – EPISODE 1 – It’s been 4 episodes, and much like a lot of other characters, Oli hasn’t really put a footprint on me yet. Just like Giana, he seems genuine enough, but I don’t really know what to feel about him. Also, there is something interesting about Oli getting a perfect score that makes me wonder something: Is Oli doing the same thing Colby is doing to get around in school? Is he sleeping with the teacher to get good grades? That seems rather suspicious. IceIceBaby – Monet Torres – EPISODE 1 – Monet seems to be on to something. She called Lela being hurt on Lela’s first day and she’s really worried about Lela can become. However, Monet seems very mysterious and cryptic. No doubt she can become a big player later on, but I feel like there could be something later on down the road we might see about Monet that we may very well hate. QueenMichelle – Michelle Maraschino – EPISODE 1 – Michelle got a whole new respect from me after the last episode. Leaving Tabatha really tells me something about Michelle, and that’s that she isn’t stupid and knows what she’s doing. Where her decision will go from here, who knows, but I am looking to seeing what Michelle can bring to the table as the season goes on. Kewlguy789isback – Mikey Thompson – EPISODE 1 – So far, about Mikey’s biggest moment was finding Spencer in a bathroom stall bloodied up, and that I know is a horrible sight to behold. I feel like that is what Mikey’s plot is going to consist of going forward: dealing with Spencer’s downward spiral. Personality-wise, he’s… alright. Nothing to really add. Spencer_Bledsoe – Spencer Bledsoe – EPISODE 1 – Spencer’s probably big defining moment so far has been the fact he has cut himself up in a bathroom still. Like, dude, are you okay? Is there any help we should know about to call for you? Other than that, I don’t really care too much for him. ForYouSelena – El "Elena" Mullhen – EPISODE 1 – I get the intention Elena has. I really do. But Colby going off on her I do kind of get because really, you shouldn’t really be ratting your friends out. But other than that, Elena isn’t really that bad. She’s trying to think of what’s best for Colby, so past that bit, I’ll let it slide.

So for a while, I’ve been trying to look for a new person’s blog series to assess, but the truth of the matter was that none of them were really good enough to get new assessments or the episodes came either way too fast or way too slow to really let me get my thoughts together. With Death Awakens, while some sentences could be edited (seriously, last episode where I read Lucia eating Lucia? lol) I see promise in the plot. It looks like it is going to be a really good series, so here is an Assessment to help motivate you to keep going forward.

Onto the living characters.
Iris Sinclair – EPISODE 1 or 3 – While we don’t know much about Iris, so far I approve of her. She really has a mysterious vibe going on with her and I feel like she will be a vital part to the group’s survival. I can’t wait to see how she develops
MrPokeguy9 – Chris Luna – EPISODE 2 – Chris’s backstory, I’m not gonna lie, is really sad, so I thought it was really big of him to open up his story to someone like Madison. Now do I think it’s gonna get him in any kind of bases with Madison? Hell no! But he certainly isn’t the worst character in the group of high school kids.
MrPokeguy9 – Daniel Misslebrook – EPISODE 2 – Last episode, we saw Daniel get pranked with a walker head on his bed. This kind of makes me think that Daniel is going to be the kind of character who always succumbs to his anger and lets it get the best of him. As far as his characters goes, there really isn’t much I can say about him at this point, but maybe as the story goes on, he will grow into me. Who knows? Rocketokid13 Sierra Quinn – EPISODE 1 – Oh boy! So, let’s just get this out in the clear now, Sierra is a raging bitch! Her whining throughout some of the episodes is just grating to read, and her bitchiness is gonna get people killed if she’s not careful. About the only person who she really shows her more sincere side is Holdyn, but to be honest, even that’s not enough to get her off the hook entirely. Best thing we can hope for in regards to Sierra is that she grows up and QUICK! Katherinee_ Madison Argent – EPISODE 1 – Madison, I have to say, is one tough cookie! Before she even got to the school, she fended off many zombies just to get there. HOWEVER, and this is a big one, in most zombie worlds, if Madison did anything as reckless as what she did, she would have been bit much too quickly. Her character seems pretty cool, and I will definitely be rooting for her to not flop in coming episodes. rippyroo Sue Clarke – EPISODE 1 – So my thing with Sue is that she isn’t a bad character, but she’s a bit protective of Sierra. I get it, she’s trying to keep the hotel group to stick together, but how she has handled it hasn’t really been the best. I do want to see if she survived the hotel fire though because that was a huge cliffhanger if I do say so myself. hints Tisha Mai – EPISODE 2 – This installment of Tisha might seem nice, but honestly, I don’t really care that much for her. She’s kind of just there, but I DO feel something big will come for her, and I feel like despite Madison’s intimate moment with Chris, Tisha will be the one Chris suckers into going to bed with him. tkoj555 - Buffy Grey – EPISDOE 2 – Have you ever done the Alien knife challenge?
Buffy really reminds me of Bishop when she is doing her knife patterns. Personality-wise, she might be the most interesting person of the whole school group. She seems like a psycho, but in a group of people that I probably don’t care that much for minus Madison, psycho might be what we need. _ivyyy_445 - Henry Jaxxon – EPISODE 1 – Henry seems to be more on a work ethics kind of mindset as you can see from calling Sierra out for not earning her share, but I do think he is a bit hard on Sierra. That being said, he is a pretty relatable character if you look at it from a frustrations point of view. How he develops is up in the air, but because of the fire, he could easily be dead. RyanAndrews - Parker Watson – EPISODE 2 – I don’t really care for him that much, and to be honest, he may be on borrowed time. Parker is so extra that he didn’t make a single appearance in Episode 3. Of course, Iris wasn’t introduced till Episode 3, but she was working alone. He wasn’t. My theory is that Daniel might have already killed Parker as we speak for the walker head. Aydanmac01 - Holdyn Maring – EPISODE 1 – So of the hotel group, Holdyn is really the one that is doing the best at keeping the group together. This is because is being relatable towards Sierra. However, outside the hotel, he seems pretty clueless and kind of meandering in a ways. Holdyn is not a bad character by any means, but he’s nowhere near a favorite that has risen in the cast.
I had actually meant to get this out earlier, but these last few days have been a perpetual headache that it was just so hard to keep up with writing. But hopefully my assessments for this series will get better as the season goes on because this is a series that is really showing proble.
