The past few months have been a period of reflection for us as we have been working to re-imagine how our team works in order to create more fun for you all. We have heard your concerns regarding events, and due to the feedback that we have received, we are now excited to present to you a revamped structure of the Tengaged Event Coordinator Team.
The goal with the new approach will be to set the Event Coordinators up to work more independently, without moderation having to play such a hands-on role in everything. While moderation will still largely be involved in the planning of larger scale vents, the idea will be to shift the team to a place where they will be able to host things by themselves, without a moderator necessarily being involved in the planning and execution of the event. Hopefully, this will lead to more events being hosted on a regular basis for Tengaged.
I want to be clear that the current Event Coordinators are not to blame for the lack of events coming from the team. The current model was set up in a way that required moderation to have a hands-on approach. This approach has not worked. The Advisory Council and Event Coordinator team has always been my personal project and since most of my time on Tengaged is often spent handling reports and responding to messages, this has fallen through the cracks.
Because of the re-brand, we will be looking for additional people to add to the team. We will be requiring current Event Coordinators to re-apply, but to be fully transparent, many of them have a lot of great ideas for you all, so I expect the shift will not be drastic and many of them will end up on the team once again. This role requires the trust of moderation as many of the events only operate properly if the people running them do not disclose specifics to people during the planning or execution of the event.

饾悡饾悋饾悇 饾悜饾悗饾悑饾悇: The mission of Event Coordinators will be to breathe some life into Tengaged by hosting events. Their creativity and dedication to creating fun events will be used in order to make Tengaged more engaging. With the role, Event Coordinators will have the opportunity to create and execute events. Funding for the events will come from the moderation team.
饾悡饾悋饾悇 饾悕饾悇饾悥 饾悞饾悡饾悜饾悢饾悅饾悡饾悢饾悜饾悇: One of the main changes will be the introduction of an event budget. Each Event Coordinator will now have access to a set budget, allowing them to plan and execute events with more independence. The budget will be there to provide the resources they need to make their event ideas fully come together.
We will also be working to introduce recurring special events that Tengagers can look forward to and that will become a part of the community's shared experience. These staple events could be anything from our themed holiday competitions to "Official" Tengaged group games.
With this new role, in order to ensure that the team is maintaining momentum and hosting events as needed, we will also be introducing a monthly quota for the Event Coordinators. Coordinators will need to be involved in organizing a minimum number of events per month in order to stay on the team. If they are not fulfilling their duties, they will be replaced. Full details will be discussed with the team once it is established.
To clarify, the primary role of an Event Coordinator will be to plan and host events. Final approval of event plans will still come from the moderation team, but the planning and execution will be in your hands.

3. Given the monthly quota for the Event Coordinators, do you expect that you will be able to meet a monthly quota that will eventually be established?
4. Do you have any prior experience hosting events? If so, what?
REQUIREMENTS: The role does not have many formal requirements. Generally speaking, we are going to be looking for users who do not have long ban histories or controversies. Some form of event experience will be considered an asset.
