David and Jack's friendships deepened.
Benj and Danielle started realizing their feelings for each other.
After Kenya surprisingly used her immunity necklace, D.C. ended up being voted out and became the second member of the jury.
At the Hirudo tribe, everyone was still a bit shocked over D.C.'s elimination, especially Danielle and Rhys. Claud and Zak were relieved that their votes were the reason why Claud was still safe. And they also realized that at this point Danielle might no longer be with them. Kenya realized that Rhys and Danielle lied to her about the votes before tribal, and even though she's safe at this point, her future in this game was still not solid.
Kenya: (To camera) The only thing I can do at this point, is to make alliances after the merge to secure my own safety. I no longer have any idols to keep myself safe. I need to step it up because I'm all on my own now. I miss having Mike from last season around...

At the Lupino tribe, David and Jack went on a trip to gather some fruits for the tribe. As they were busy collecting them, they made a final two deal with each other, saying that neither of them would ever betray each other's trust. Julian and Kara discussed briefly about their plan after merge, both saying that they needed more people on their side to stay safe in this game. Benj was excited about the merge because he would soon see Danielle once again.
Benj: (To camera) I can't believe how much I've missed her. I really wish she hasn't been gone from my life for so long. After this merge, everything will start to look up!

Charlie:
Good morning, everybody. Lupino, take a look at the new Hirudo tribe, with D.C. voted out at the last tribal council.
Before we start today's reward challenge, drop your buffs, because you're now merged into a brand new tribe! It's called Ibrida, and here's your new buffs. *Charlie handed everyone the new Purple buffs.* You will all be moving to the original Striga camp so everything you've left at the old campsite will be gone. *Everyone gasped.* Now, let's start today's reward challenge.
You will be split into two teams of five, one member of each team will be your defender, while one at a time, members from the opposing team will attempt to throw a ball into the net. First team to score four wins reward. Wanna know what you're playing for? *Everybody said yes.* You will be taken to a beautiful waterfall where you will get to enjoy the scenery and a picnic afterwards. I'll give you a few minutes to split into two teams.

Kara jumped to the left in an attempt to shoot pass Benj for her team, but Benj anticipated the shot and jumped to his right to catch the ball.
Blue:Red = 0:0
Claud was stable on his spot and he jumped to catch the ball as soon as he saw Rhys threw it. Unfortunately Claud missed the ball by inches and Rhys' ball went in the net.
BLUE Scores!
Blue:Red = 1:0
Zak faked a right jump but instead aimed for the left side of the net, Benj went for his left and missed the ball completely.
RED Scores!
Blue:Red = 1:1
Jack jumped and aimed the ball exactly towards the middle of the net, Claud over-thought the process and missed the ball just by a little bit.
BLUE Scores!
Blue:Red = 2:1
Kenya shot the ball slightly to the right, Benj jumped and couldn't catch the ball as he didn't jump high enough to reach it.
RED Scores!
Blue:Red = 2:2
David jumped and shot to the left, but Claud got confused as he jumped to his left to try catching the ball and he missed the ball in a large margin.
BLUE Scores!
Blue:Red = 3:2
Julian copied Zak and made a fake jump to the left, while aiming for the right. Benj was caught off-guard and he jumped to his right, missing the ball.

Danielle ran and jumped across the lake, throwing the ball into the air. Claud attempted to jumped towards the ball and his fingers touched the ball...

But he missed the ball and Danielle SCORES for BLUE! Blue team wins reward! Benj, Rhys, Jack, David and Danielle will be immediately flown to the waterfall to enjoy their rewards. Unfortunately for Red team, you will all go back to your camp as I have nothing for you.

Back at the camp, everyone was sad to not have won the challenge when it was such a close score, though nobody blamed Claud for the loss of the challenge. Kara and Julian both said they were glad that all of them could spend more time with each other as they felt that they loved this group the most. Kenya was extremely happy to be with them as she told everybody there that she felt the most comfortable with them. She apologized to Claud in front of everybody for her vote on him. She explained that Rhys and D.C. told her that it'd be a safe vote. Claud said that he completely understood and he had no problem working with her from this point forward. Claud, Zak and Kenya told Kara and Julian about last night's tribal and they were surprised to find out about Kenya's using the idol. They all agreed that since Jack's the last one to still possess an idol, his idol needed to be flushed out.
Kara: (To camera) Me, Julian and David has discussed briefly about working with each other. But it starts to look like him and Jack are getting closer. So I need to figure out the best way to approach this so that if Jack ended up being voted out, we'll still have David in our pocket.

At the waterfall, everybody was enjoying themselves. Benj and Danielle went for a walk around the waterfall and they ended up giving each other a very tender kiss under a beautiful sakura tree. David and Jack went for a walk by themselves as well and they were chuckling over some jokes that they were telling each other about. Rhys felt a little bit out of place as he had nobody else to take a walk with. During the picnic, the two duos continued to enjoy the food by themselves without acknowledging Rhys' existence in the picnic.
Rhys: (To camera) I really feel like I have been in the worst of luck in this game. Almost everyone of my allies ended up going. Guillomouve, D.C., and some others that I've grown close to. Even though now technically I'm still in good standing with David and Danielle, it feels like they've all moved on to their own duos and there're really no place for me any more. I might have to reevaluate the situation and see what my next move is.

Everybody started eating the beetles and none of them were messing around. Zak chowed down the entire bug in about a few seconds, while others are struggling to swallow the bug. Kenya finished the bug and showed Charlie her mouth. Only one spot left to move on as the other three continued to chew on their bugs to attempt finishing it. Rhys ended up finishing it first and he moved on to the next round with Zak and Kenya.

A lot of them seemed like they were about to throw up but they all went down on the bugs. Benj was the first to finish the bug with ease. Danielle managed to devour the entire bug and took a few while to chew away the bug and finished it. The other three struggled to keep the bug down and Claud ended up finishing the bug before the other two.

They were all grossed out by the creatures as Charlie reminded them that they were technically part of the clam family. Not really comforted by the information, everyone started eating the worms. Danielle once again finished them with ease, with Zak finishing them soon afterwards. The other four were fighting for the final spot for the next round. At the end, Rhys ended up finishing them thought almost vomiting all over the place, and moved on to the next round.

They could all see the feathers sill on the egg, as they were extremely grossed out by the delicacy. Rhys swallowed the entire egg in whole and he didn't even seem to hesitate at all. Danielle and Zak were both fighting for the final spot for the final round but neither of them seemed to be able to keep it down. Danielle swallowed the whole thing but couldn't help but vomit a little bit as Zak kept the egg down.
They all instantly put the brains in their mouths and tried their best and fastest to swallow the entire thing. They almost finished them at the exact same time...

Back at the Ibrida tribe, Danielle, Benj and Zak applauded Rhys on being a worthy opponent. Rhys looked extremely excited about his win and he still couldn't believe it.
Danielle, Rhys and Benj soon gathered and they were thinking about voting on Kenya again now that she no longer had the idol. Benj said that he could potentially have Jack and David's votes, then all they need would just be one more vote to ensure.
Kenya, Julian, Kara, Claud and Zak discussed their plan to flush out Jack's idol. Kara and Julian withheld the information that David was getting close to Jack as they were afraid they would all vote for David. Kara suggested that they should target Benj as the power couple needed to be split up. Claud and Zak seemed a bit unsure about the suggestion as they were both closed to Benj when they were on the same tribe. Before the group dismembered, Kara quickly whispered to Claud her observation about the friendship between Jack and David.
Jack and David seemed to have no clue what's going on as everyone was trying to talk to them, which made it extremely awkward for any of them to finish any kind of conversation. Jack felt that he might have to use his idol tonight because he felt that he's not safe in this game. David was trying to comfort him as he attempted to listen in other's conversations to figure out what the plan was.
Zak, Claud, Danielle and Benj quickly gathered right before tribal council to share their thoughts on votes. They couldn't talk much and they all seemed to not completely trust each other as the discussion came to a quick end.
Zak: (To camera) I am so confused as to what will happen tonight. All I can say is that I'm hoping for the best that my name won't be written down somehow and I'll make the right decision.

Charlie: Welcome, to your first tribal council as a merge tribe. What would you is the dynamic of the newly merged tribe?
Kenya: I think the conversations are already going everywhere in the tribe.
Charlie: Kenya, this is your second time in a merged tribe, how different do you think the dynamic is in this tribe?
Kenya: Honestly it is a lot different this time. Last time I was here, I had built a lot of relationships with everyone and everybody else had the same thing. But this time, because of all the secret islands and all the separations, I think it had been a lot harder for anyone to fully trust somebody else.
Charlie: Interesting. What about you, Julian? As a second-time competitor, how do you feel about the tribe right now?
Julian: Well it is definitely more interesting for me, considering I didn't get to do much last time around.
Charlie: Kara, being the only one left from the very original Hirudo tribe, how do you feel?
Kara: Oh my gosh! I didn't even realize that! I definitely missed everybody from my old tribe, but I've made some great friendships with these new people and I'm so blessed to still be here in this game.
Charlie: Jack, how do you feel about your chance in this game?
Jack: I honestly can't say. I felt that I've made some great new friendships in this game because I really didn't have much time at the beginning to socialize with anyone as I was stranded on one of the secret islands.
Charlie: Danielle, as we can all see, you and Benj are holding each other's hands. Aren't you worried that this will endanger you two as a couple?
Danielle: Not really. I feel like I wanna be true to my feelings so I don't wanna hide the relationship between Benj and I. Besides, based on last season, I don't think it affected that much to the gameplay.
Charlie: Fair enough. One last question, David, what do you think of the overwhelming number of the original Striga tribe members still in this game?
David: Wow... Yeah it is definitely something crazy because there are still five of them here. But I think at this point of the game, it really doesn't matter about any old tribes. It's a brand new game!
Charlie: With that, it is now time to vote. Julian, you're up first...
