Congrats to you for getting your own group going, and getting the publicity around it, and thinking that I'm going to love it. Thank you so much for thinking of me, and I would like to join.
But what is your group about? While I could click through and check it out, and while you're probably sending this to several people at the same time, It feels insincere and annoying that you don't mention anything other than "join my group, link"
Next time, please add a small blurb about what is going on in your group, theme, game, anything where I can get an idea of what your group is about before I go further.
I don't mean this as an insult to you, it's just that I don't want to join your Amazing Race group if I'm not a fan of The Amazing Race, I won't be as interested in your Amazing Race game. I don't think you'd know this, but still, I would appreciate the small bit of info.
That, and it's like facebook or myspace spam. I don't want to reject your invite out of natural reaction.
Please, talk about your group a little bit when you send the invite, I'd be more interested in it, even if it's something i wouldn't do, because you described it.
