CHARITY ANNOUCNEMENT: 4 YEARS Jul 29, 2016
On August 14th, 2012, I joined Tengaged, and ever since, I have been on and off with this website.  I never really thought about doing a game to celebrate how many years I have been on this site until this year when I came back from an extended hiatus.

So, I felt that this year, I would give back to Tengaged after helping so many charities, considering I never host any of my own anymore.  That is why I am going to make this a Rookies Charity!  The game would begin on August 8th so that, once the game ends, it will be August 14th, which is exactly the official 4 year anniversary of me joining on the website.

So yeah, game begins on the afternoon/night of August 8th, my time of course, so just say below if you can or want to join.  All I ask is that you don’t complain about whatever placement you get just because I wanna keep it as drama-free as possible.  I’ll tag some people right off the bat I can think of off the top of my head.

Descendants Assessment 5 (Eps. 21-23) Jul 27, 2016
Welcome back to Descendants of the Guardians!  For those who missed the Season 2 farewell assessment for Aydanmac01’s Descendants of the Guardians, click on the link below:

http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Icarus_Mark/7509581/descendants-assessment-4-eps-18-20-season-2-farewell

There is also a theory segment below that I did for fun just after Season 3 began:

http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Icarus_Mark/7524191/descendants-theory-segment-trial

Season 3 has already had some major plot development giveaways.  Crimson has been shown where she is at, having hit rock bottom.  It doesn’t look like the worst is over for her either.  Meanwhile, we met some new characters, Bobby is again the big baddie of the season, and we got a glimpse of who Arlene really is.  As a whole, these first 3 episodes of Season 3 have been a success.

For the first time in a while, all the major characters are alright, so no In Memorium this time!

*crowds cheers*

So with that, let’s bring Arlene and Carlisle over to begin the assessment.

(Arlene Giles - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 12 – In “Forgive Me”, Arlene got a real development session, and I am glad we did.  She wasn’t touched upon much in Season 2, but to see her backstory and Arlene already is in the running for having the saddest moment in Season 3.  She won Favorite Newcomer last time, and now that I have seen this backstory, I can safely say that my award was well-placed for Arlene.  I will be rooting for Arlene to make the change I know she can make, but at the same time, I don’t want her to change ALL of her personality.  I’d like to see one of 2 things happen with Arlene: she pledges to try to stay good for her brother’s sake or at least she her become a badass anti-hero.
(Carlisle Giles - Energy Male) – EPISODE 21 – Speaking of Arlene’s brother, here is Carlisle himself.  Now, we haven’t really met him yet, but he was in the backstory flashback and I gotta say, Carlisle saving his sister was really big of him, even as a child, to do.  Now that he is New Haven (because, come on guys, you KNOW he’s the shadow stalking Chandler), I am rooting for Carlisle to find his sister so that Arlene can finally know what love is like.

imprincearthur - (Edward Mott - Shadow Male) – EPISODE 1 – All I have seen Edward do is sit in the basement grieving over his dead son.  You have to sorry for him, but at the same time, it’s partly because he’s lost his child that he isn’t going to let anyone help him.  He’s too far gone for Tisha to do anything for him.  At this point, I might as well give up on him.
(Bobby Mott - Shadow Male) – EPISODE 12 – Him returning as the main villain of Season 3 was just oh so predictable.  Then again, he doesn’t really seem to have the control he once did judging by his new recruits.  I’m kind of hoping that he knows what he’s dealing with, but at the same time, I don’t want to see him get to Arlene and Tisha first.  He was a very close second to Least Favorite Award at the finale last season, losing only to Brittany, but not by much, almost entirely because even though he is menacing, he has been one-dimensional.  He’s gonna have to do more if he wants to avoid getting it this season.
hints - (Tisha Mai - Water Female) – EPISODE 1 – Ever since she expelled Crimson, the amount of things she’s had to deal with has piled up, and you can tell it is overwhelming her.  You can tell she needs help, and her life is already in danger because of it.  Until she gets the help she needs, she is never going to get anything done.  That being said, I do admire Tisha’s efforts, even if they have been draining at best.
(Ivy Lange - Poison Female) – EPISODE 22 – Here’s the evil Poison Descendant who replaces the good Mia who died in Season 2.  To be honest, she does not impress me that much, but that’s probably because I do not know her yet.  She needs to stand out in some way or form if she’s going to be anyone for me to care about.
tkoj555 - (Quinton Benjamin - Water Male) – EPISODE 1 – I think it’s time to face the truth.  I am never going to really like Quinton as a character, especially after he blackmailed Crimson in Episode 22.  I am hoping he is exposed this season because I wanna see what that does to him.  How will he respond to Tisha knowing that Quinton was behind Jenni getting drugged in the first place?  If I can’t relate to him after he gets exposed, then it may be safe to assume that I may never warm up to Quinton.
(Wendy Mayweather - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 11 – She has lost Mia, and it has hurt her in a big way.  She didn’t really do anything so far this season, but I am hoping she and Anthony can become the best of friends.  They both suffered the loss of great friends, so that should unite them, right?  I am hoping Wendy grows from losing Mia and brings something to the table.
Macda27 - (Mac Anderson - Nature Male) – EPISODE 1 – Mac hasn’t really impressed me yet in Season 3.  Yes, he has been teaching Alexis, but honestly, I felt that came out of nowhere.  I would hope Mac does not cheat on Sabrina, but I’m beginning to fear that is exactly what could end up happening eventually, especially if he spends more time with Alexis.
(Kate Anderson - Nature Female) – EPISODE 12 – Kate is finally getting her own storyline that doesn’t include Mac trying to bail her out of danger.  I don’t really like that she has been a bit touchy-touchy with the Mac and Sabrina couple in Episode 21, so for her to have a storyline with Evan instead is really a refreshing turn for Kate and I am excited to see where that goes.
Fell6 (Jenni Valentine - Energy Female) – EPISODE 1 – I love Jenni’s character.  She has matured really quickly from a shy girl into someone who was big enough to not only escape Ferris, but also eventually forgive Crimson for doing so.  Her thought process is one I’m beginning to wish I could have and I am hoping she continues to mature and keep her kind nature in the process.
(Violet Summer - Magic Female) – EPISODE 12 – Here comes the first character is Descendants to lose their Main Status to go to a Recurring Status, and honestly, Violet should have been Recurring all along since she didn’t get a lot of focus as a Main last season.  With that being said, Violet has really done nothing but be in Jenni’s shadow so far this season.  I doubt Violet is going to get any development if this is the route she keeps going.  I guess, for me personally, Violet is just a filler character at this point.
ForYouSelena - (Sabrina Del Rosa - Holy Female) – EPISODE 1 – She was in 3rd place for the Favorite Character Award last season, but so far, this hasn’t been a great start to Season 3 for Sabrina at all.  This is because Sabrina has turned into a Debbie Downer, growing jealous just because Mac is teaching Alexis and just being downright depressing, a big reason why the last episode just didn’t really cut it for me compared to the great episodes of this series.  I mean yes, she did die and need someone to resurrect her (Mia sacrifice her life for Sabrina’s), but if that resurrection is going to be justified in any way, she’s going to need something to get past her guilt and sorrow.
Coolkat - (Chandler Park - Poison Female) – EPISODE 1 – Unlike Sabrina, Chandler is still a great character that hasn’t taken a hit since the beginning of the season.  She is understandably spooked by the shadow following her, and I hope she does something soon.  As a character though, I relate a lot with Chandler and it’s hard not to agree with her points about Tisha.  Keep being awesome Chandler!
Lynette - (Natalya Hernandez - Fire Female) – EPISODE 1 – Just like Edward, I think Natalya is too far gone.

Natalya: Oh SHUT UP WITH YOUR ASSESSMENTS!  THEY ALL SUCK!

*throws apple at Natalya’s head, knocking her out*

That’ll be enough of that.  Aaaaanyway…

I think Natalya is too far gone for the reason that she is deadest on lying and being careless towards Tisha.  Natalya was a huge disappointment in Season 2, but she is redeeming herself a little in Season 3, but not by a whole lot.  Needless to say, there needs to be something happening to Natalya that will make me pity her a bit more than I do now.
IceIceBaby - (Crimson Wilson - Fire Female) – EPISODE 2 – Speaking of redemption, if anyone is in need of it, it’s Crimson.  After her Season 2 storyline saw her go through a steep decline, Crimson has hit rock bottom, and if she wasn’t well-liked in Season 1, Least Favorite Award would have gone to her at this finale that just passed.  I am beginning to feel a little sympathy towards Crimson now that Quinton has blackmailed her, but I am far from having totally forgiven her at this point.
RyanAndrews - (Samuel Weeks - Air Male) – EPISODE 1 – He has taken a spiral down in the season premiere.  Sure, he went outside with Anthony for a bit in Episode 23, but that doesn’t change anything for me about him.  I don’t see him improving himself after losing John and I feel like he will just drag the Justice Syndicate down the toilet and fast.
_Ivyyy_445 - (Bailey Jaxxon - Human) – EPISODE 1 – Bailey won Most Redeemed last season because of how much she has grown.  She is really maturing as a character, and it has shown so far in Season 3.  The Justice Syndicate really hasn’t been the best with her as of late, and to be honest, I am perplexed as to why she even thought joining this organization would be a remotely good idea.  If she left, I would actually respect her even more.  Who needs the Justice Syndicate at this point, am I right?
Topazisqueen - (Evelyn Shields - Air Female) – EPISODE 5 – So that was weird how her death was an illusion, but I’m glad that she took the time to explain why she had to deceive Tisha.  Deep down, as a cousin, she still cares for Tisha even though Bobby wants Tisha dead and Evelyn is working for him.  Evelyn is a really interesting character to say the least.
(Brittany Rose - Poison Female) – EPISODE 11 – Finally I see some improvement in my perception of Brittany.  Her forgettable nature in Season 2 had her in rock bottom with me for last season’s entirety, but now I am finally beginning to warm up to Brittany a little, though not by much.  She knows Tisha needs help, so that tells me something: she may have been disregarding early on, but she isn’t stupid.  I hope Brittany continues to improve.
JourdanBabyXoXo - (Adore Laison - Fire Female) – EPISODE 11 – Once again Adore fails to impress me.  She hasn’t exactly changed and still hasn’t distinguished herself very well.  Like Violet, Adore may end up just becoming filler at this point.
KaseyHope101 - ("Ruthie" Margaritiana - Human) – EPISODE 12 – Remember when I said I could have sworm that Ruthie was half-human, half-dog?  That opinion hasn’t really changed.  That being said, I do like that she is getting in the nerves of other people, even though she isn’t really being smart about it.  She isn’t my favorite character by any stretch of the means, but she I far from being my least favorite because she is at least not boring.
Rawr121 - (Anthony Kuryente - Magic Male) – EPISODE 12 – Well, I hoped Anthony could have capitalized in growing in Season 3.  So far, he is going in the right direction, being a positive force for both Wendy and Samuel.  If he stays his positive ways, then I may grow to like him.
Jkjkjk15 - (Jayla Helix - Human) – EPISODE 12 – Yet another character that has taken a turn for the worse for me is Jayla, especially after that last episode.  She is as much of a Debbie Downer as Sabrina has been, if not more of one.  She threatened to take her own life if Bailey left her?  Not cool, Jayla!  And definitely not mature.
Abnormal - (Gabriel Montez - Magic Male) – EPISODE 12 – Natalya gets talked about as careless, but if ANYONE is careless, it’s THIS guy!  He goes to the bar AGAIN and has an incident at the bar AGAIN!  HAS HE NOT LEARNED ANYTHING FROM THE LAST TIME!?  He must be either brave or foolish to do what he does, and one of these times, it’s gonna get him killed.
KatarinaDuCouteau - (Esdeath R.L. Quinn - Water Female) – EPISODE 22 – Being one of Bobby’s new recruits, she’s actually the more interesting out of her and Ivy, but at the same time, I don’t think Bobby REALLY has control of her.  I think she has her own agenda that does not include Bobby, and she could be the Sentinel Prime to his Megatron, kind of like at the end of this video clip here:

QueenMichelle - (Alexis Ahore - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 21 – I’m not exactly sure what to make of Alexis, probably because I do not really know her yet.  Sabrina did say she did not trust Alexis, but honestly, I think that’s just Sabrina’s jealousy kicking in.  All I know is that Alexis is gonna have to do more in upcoming episodes.
Katherinee_ - (Katherine Montgomery - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 21 – I don’t for one second buy that Katherine is really having something wrong with her.  Really, I think she is just faking her problems just so she can get “help”, get to Tisha, and kill her.  Before Bobby can even get to her.  As a character though, I can’t really say much about Katherine either other than that she is a hardcore faker.
Turkeylover - (Angel Devon - Holy Female) – EPISODE 22 – Well hello person to advance Gabriel’s plot!  Really, I think Angel and Gabriel’s plot in the season is going to run pretty similarly this season, so it might be hard to tell her apart from him.  That being said, she could end up being the first Holy Descendant who isn’t exactly good after all.  Maybe I can only see that from Tisha’s perspective, but my thoughts on Angel kind of lie about where Tisha’s is at the moment.
Aerodynamics - (Evan Decker - Human) – EPISODE 21 – Now here is an interesting human if I ever saw one.  Seriously, is he ALREADY trying to get in Kate’s pants?  It would satisfy my theory about him and Kate dating, and I hope they do because it would be good storywise for both Kate and Evan.  He gives Kate something to do other than be in Mac’s shadow and how cool would it be for a human to date a Descendant?  It’s not an unknown thing to try since, for example, you have a human dating a gargoyle in a 90’s cartoon called “Gargoyles”.

I like his personality so far, so I hope he doesn’t turn out to be someone despicable later on.  If he and Kate did go the Gargoyles direction with this, I would be pretty fine with that.
Kelly2722 - (Tori Michaels - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 23 – I said this about Evelyn in my very first assessment of this series (when we were still waiting for Season 2 to come out), I’ll say it here.  It would have been better for me personally if she was here from the start of the season rather than coming in while the season was already in progress.  But it is good to see this series get more attention because it is definitely underrated.  Now with THIS Tori (since we already had one in MelindaMrskk’s One Killer), she only just came in, and as such, there really isn’t anything to say about her, but my opinions of her are pretty the same as they are for Katherine.

And that’s all the characters.  Now here’s a few thoughts to leave out on:

Arlene, for one, can still turn good, but thing is, she needs her brother or even Jenni to try and help her out.  Tisha cannot help her any more than she already has because Arlene and Tisha share too little in common.  Secondly, Crimson needs to get her secret out in some way.  Crimson cannot live in her lies anymore because it could eventually end up killing her.  Third, Tisha needs to wake up and realize that she can’t do everything she is doing alone.  She is putting too much stress on herself and it is not healthy.

That will be it for this assessment.  The next one will be after Episode 27, “The Unravelling”.  As always, I hope you had as much fun reading this as I did making this and see you all next time!

Descendants Theory Segment: A Trial Jul 25, 2016
Welcome to my first theory blog!  This is different from Character Assessments because this isn’t a review so much as it is me stating what is going on behind the scenes and what my predictions are.  The show (blog series) getting the honor of going first is Aydanmac01’s Descendants of the Guardians!  Before we get into my theories, meet the current cast!

Turkeylover - (Angel Devon - Holy Female)
Aerodynamics - (Evan Decker - Human)

So know that you know the cast, here’s how this works.  I will state a theory I have, and give my reasons as to why I think this is the case.  References from past seasons can be used as evidence.  The reasons I am tackling this particular blog series is because I have so many theories about this blog series that they, for the time being, vastly outnumber theories I could have for other blog series.  So let’s get started.

Theory 1: Kate and Evan will become a couple.
Now, I realize we only just got Evan and he’s only had a few lines thus far, but already, I can see this happening.  Mac is already dating Sabrina, so couldn’t Kate have a right to a lover as well?  So let’s assume that Kate will actually have someone to call her own.  Who could she possibly date?  The possibilities include Quinton, Carlisle, Samuel, Anthony, Gabriel, and Evan.  Quinton is already out since he is trying to get with Tisha, Carlisle is too busy with his sister to really give a damn about Kate, Anthony already has a boyfriend according to his bio, not to mention he has to deal with the loss of Ariel from “The Funeral”, and Samuel is dealing with the cripples of the Justice Syndicate.  That leaves just Gabriel, and Evan.  Out of the 2, Evan is the likelier candidate.  First, the coffee incident.  Evan accidentally knocks onto the table Kate and Mac were at, spilling coffee on Kate’s jeans.  In an act of kindness to make up for his mistake, he gives her his coffee.  Not only that, but when Kate tastes his coffee, she remarks that at least he knows a girl’s favorite blend, meaning they could have similar tastes.  Secondly, I have already seen someone guess that Evan was the one who sent Kate that letter for her to come back to town.  Nobody has really given an indication they knew Kate coming into the storyline except obviously Mac.  But if Mac didn’t write the letter, who did?  Evan could very likely be a candidate as he didn’t give an indication that he didn’t know her either.  Maybe he knew of her from somewhere, like maybe a school they both went to.

Theory 2: Samuel will get Crimson’s Season 2 storyline
Coming into Season 3, we knew Samuel was paying Bailey and Jayla for killing Danny, which apparently was their job.  But Bailey is already doubtful of Samuel because she now knows that Veronica intentionally killed Danny and Samuel was behind it.  In Season 2, Crimson started out with a following and lost it once Jenni confronted her about drugging Jenni and sending her to the Ferris Institute.  Samuel has already had that moment when it was revealed that he was behind Danny’s death.  If the Justice Syndicate loses their following because of Samuel, he will have effectively gone down Crimson’s path of darkness and be on his own like Crimson is now.

Theory 3: Evelyn will die in Season 3
In Season 2, she has already had a fake-out death only for her to have her true motives revealed 3 episodes later.  Now that Tisha knows Evelyn is aligned with Bobby, she will want answers from Evelyn, and then the 2 will do battle.  What else is known about Evelyn other than her being Tisha’s cousin who works for Bobby?  Nothing, but it is this storyline that has developed Evelyn really well.  Once, Evelyn gives Tisha the answers to her actions, what will there be left for Evelyn to do?  How she gives the answers could result in an emotional battle between her and Tisha that would end with her death from Tisha’s hands.

Theory 4: Arlene will actually turn good, or an anti-hero at the least.
This is a big theory I have for Season 3, and there has already been content in previous episodes dating back to before The Battle of 3 Worlds to support this theory.  She reveals to Edward that she wasn’t always meant to be a Shadow Descendant and tells him to ask himself should he really be “doing this”.  She also yells at Natalya 2 episodes earlier stating that “Nobody needed to die”.  The 2 points suggest to me that, even while she was free and evil, she still had some morals left in her.  Also, in Season 3, this is explored even further when Tisha visits Arlene, Edward, and Natalya in the basement during the premiere.  Arlene was the only one who eventually cooperated with Tisha, telling Tisha what her childhood backstory was and what happened.  With her brother coming to town, this could be the catalyst Arlene needs to work her way over to the good side.  But why I say she could be an anti-hero is because old habits are hard to break, and her habits were evil, so even if she does become good, she may never be able to shake off all of her dark habits.

Theory 5: Carlisle was resurrected by a Holy Descendant
In Arlene’s backstory, a demon is seen ripping Carlisle apart.  It would be a bit on the fantastic side if Carlisle managed to survive both a lightning strike AND a demon attack on his chest during the same night.  Also, it would explain how Carlisle can stay good while that night turned Arlene evil when they both have suffered the loss of their families.  Something to remember is that to revive Sabrina, Mia had to die in her place, and the Resurrection Spell can only be done by a Holy Descendant.  If Carlisle indeed made it past the night through a resurrection rather than just being lucky, this could actually help recover Sabrina since she will now have someone who can relate to what she’s been through.

Theory 6: Natalya will die in Season 3
Natalya has already been imprisoned twice, and twice has she been a part of the evil side’s plans and failed.  Back in the Season 1 finale, Evelyn says about Natalya that “her time was coming to an end anyways”.  That indicates that Natalya was already on borrowed time.  Also, Natalya didn’t really do much other than have people help her escape from Crimson’s basement in Season 2 if you don’t count killing John and burning down Crimson’s house.  Bobby will find Natalya to be incompetent, Crimson hates her guts, and if it got out there to Samuel that Natalya was who killed John and not Edward, Samuel will undoubtedly have a bounty on her head.  Literally no one will be on Natalya’s side, especially if Theory 4 happens and Arlene turns good.  However, I am not done with Natalya yet because of the next theory I am about to share.

Theory 7: Natalya was Danny’s mother
While Tisha could also be a candidate to being Danny’s mother, I am actually thinking Natalya was the one who carried Edward’s child.  There hasn’t been any evidence to indicate that Natalya was a virgin coming into the storyline, so it’s not like this can’t be supported.  Yes, Tisha did have sex with Edward, but in the same episode, you see that Danny was already in a crib when Edward took Tisha to his house.  Tisha would have been too young to get involved with Edward, so who was left other than Natalya?  Why would Natalya have already been evil alongside Edward in Season 1?  Why did Natalya stay with Edward and Arlene to be captured again at The Battle of 3 Worlds?  Could there be something to Natalya we are just not getting?  However, she is not the only candidate for being Danny’s mother.

Theory 8: Crimson was Danny’s mother
Instead of Natalya being Danny’s mother, what if that title actually belonged to Crimson?  She is about the same age as Edward with her being 27 and Edward being 26.  Also, Danny was already old enough to talk before he died.  Crimson could have been as old as 23 or even 24 when she had Danny if he could be able to talk by the time this story took place.  23 and 24 is a much more suitable age to have a child as opposed to say 15.  Crimson despises Edward and when he escaped in Season 1, she wanted him found and interrogated Natalya to try to do so.  In Season 2, Crimson was revealed to have dark tendencies of her own, having drugged Jenni and sending her to the Ferris Institute.  Maybe Edward has had an influence on her that she has never truly been able to shake off, and if she had Edward’s kid, it would make total sense.  If the 4th episode of Season 3 “Sins of My Past” is an episode about Crimson, this could hold a key clue as to whether or not she was actually Danny’s mother.

Theory 9: Bobby and Carlisle will die in the same episode towards the end of Season 3
Going back to Theory 4 where I mentioned Arlene could have a catalyst to turn good spurred by her brother, there will undoubtedly be a big battle towards the end of the season that I imagine Bobby and Carlisle will take part in.  Bobby has used bargaining chips a lot with his brother Edward concerning Danny last season.  I can imagine that he could do the same to Arlene in regards to Carlisle.  He could threaten Carlisle’s life so that he could try to control Arlene to do his bidding.  This could result in an internal battle for Arlene before Bobby goes through with his threat and kills Carlisle out of impatience.  Once she sees what Bobby has done, she would then turn on Bobby and kill him to avenge her brother’s death.  This would be a great catalyst to complete Arlene’s transformation from bad to good and would also be an interesting turn for Arlene’s storyline.  This also leads to my next theory.

Theory 10: Arlene transforms from a Shadow Descendant back into an Energy Descendant
Like I mentioned before, Arlene admitted she wasn’t always meant to be a Shadow Descendant.  There is also nowhere in these episodes that says that Descendants can’t change powers, so I can only assume that this is still possible somehow, kind of like how in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the Matrix of Leadership can bring Transformers back to life even though it wasn’t designed for that purpose.  Being evil was what caused Arlene to become a Shadow Descendant in the first place, but what if by turning good, she regains her original orientation and is again an Energy Descendant?  There is an abundance of Shadow Descendants in the cast already, but there are only 2 current cast members who are Energy, those being Jenni and her brother.  With Carlisle’s death, Jenni becomes the last Energy Descendant once again.  UNLESS that is, of course, Arlene is allowed to become Energy once again should she turn good.  Episode 9 of Season 3 is called “Eye of the Storm”, so it could be about Carlisle or even Arlene, depending on what happens.  Also, Crimson has a spell book or something Mia read a page off of in the episode “Repercussions”.  It was revealed in the very next episode that that spell book mentioned that Holy Descendants can resurrect dead people, but they would have to take their place afterward.  Crimson’s book could also have a clue that Descendants can change orientation depending on what happens.

And that’s all I have for now.  If you have any theories you would like to share or have comments about my theories and what have you, I’d love to hear them.  I don’t know what inspired me to do this, but I felt like this would be a fun thing to do.  :)  Let me know what you think, and see you all in the Character Assessment that will come after the next 2 episodes.

Descendants Assessment 4 (Eps. 18-20; SEASON 2 FAREWELL) Jul 18, 2016
Last time these characters were assessed, it was part of a Mega Assessment.  For the links to the Mega Assessment, they are below:

http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Icarus_Mark/7497688/descendantsone-killer-mega-assessment-pt-1
http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Icarus_Mark/7497694/descendantsone-killer-mega-assessment-pt-2

Actually, this was considered to be put in another Mega Assessment with The Walking Dead, a blog series that I had assessed earlier today that just got through its mid-season finale.  However, since this is the end of Season 2, it is only fair that the Descendants have their own assessment instead of clashing with another series who has yet to end their first season.

Anyway, the 2 best episodes of this series so far came in these last 3 episodes: The Battle of 3 Worlds and The Funeral.  And it truly WAS a battle just to stay alive!  Season 3 has been set up nicely with Season 2 of Aydanmac01’s blog series in the bags.  Jenni confronted Crimson and called her out, Sabrina survived somehow, and death really did come at a funeral.  But before we call out our teachers for drugging us and sending us to a sadistic institute, let’s say goodbye to those we’ve lost in these last 3 episodes of Season 2.

In Memorium:

Danny Mott EPISODE 10 – EPISODE 18 – Cause of death: Veronica’s arrow pierces him in the head in Battle of 3 Worlds  Edward’s son Danny needed time to grow, but unfortunately, he got hit in the head before he could even have a chance.  I’m sad to see him gone, especially since he is a child.
coolKat – (Veronica Chester - Human) – EPISODE 13 – Cause of death: Edward’s demon bites her throat shortly after Veronica killed Danny  Veronica never got to develop much, so I wasn’t really sad to see her die.  Actually, she had it coming to her once she killed Danny.  Take away someone’s family, and you literally leave them with nothing to lose.  With her hatred towards Descendants, it has cost her her life.
RyanAndrews – (Ariel Moore - Energy Female) – EPISODE 12 – EPISODE 20 – Cause of death: Heart bitten by Bobby’s demon  Honestly, I am sad Ariel didn’t get developed more, but at the same time, she wasn’t really someone I am going to miss even though she is an Energy Descendant.  She only wanted to be normal, but it was nice to see her reminisce over her time at the restaurant she and Anthony worked at just as she died.  I am also glad she got to fix her behavior from Episode 19 towards Anthony.
hints – (Mia Myan - Holy Female) – EPISODE 11 – EPISODE 20 – Cause of death: Resurrecting Sabrina  I’m gonna be honest and say that she should not have healed Sabrina simply because I really wanted to see Mia grow.  This is especially so since her friendship with Wendy was a real dynamic I’ve enjoyed watching.  Mia was truly robbed.

Un-Memorium:
Topazisqueen - (Evelyn Shields - Air Female) – EPISODE 5 – That was actually more shocking than her dying.  Good job setting that up!  But I’m glad it finally got out that Evelyn was working for evil.  This is going to be one interesting storyline for Season 3.

Final Words: “Sabrina, cheating death since the birth of her powers.”

Starting with Arlene once again, let’s see what is in store for our surviving characters!

Arlene Giles – (Shadow Female) – EPISODE 12 – It really sucks to see Arlene get captured the way she did.  That being said, my opinion of Arlene hasn’t really changed at all, and I think come Season 3, Arlene will have a shining moment that will make her stand out in a big way.

imprincearthur - (Edward Mott - Shadow Male) – EPISODE 1 – I feel so bad for Edward.  No parent should have to go through losing their child, and to have lost Danny put a damper on him.  I look forward to seeing how he will cope from that, especially since he imprisoned by Crimson.
(Bobby Mott - Shadow Male) – EPISODE 12 – My opinion on Bobby was basically what I had thought of Edward for the first 9 episodes of last season: a one-dimensional villain who was soulless.  He was much more menacing, which is why he doesn’t win an Award as you will see later.
Hints - (Tisha Mai - Water Female) – EPISODE 1 – I can’t say my opinion has changed much on Tisha, but I AM glad to see she is growing independent from Crimson.  She needs her own path to follow, and I think her next step is to confront Evelyn, which will be a Season 3 goal for her.
tkoj555 - (Quinton Benjamin - Water Male) – EPISODE 1 – I am glad to see he took part in the Battle of the Five Armies… I MEAN 3 WORLDS!  That being said, I still cannot really bring myself to care for Quinton.  Compared to many veterans, he’s just still there to me.
(Wendy Mayweather - Shadow Female) – EPISODE 11 – All season long, I could only ever associate her with Mia.  She and Mia were inseparable.  With Mia gone though, Wendy will have a real chance to stand out for this next season.  Do not fail me, Wendy!
Macda27 - (Mac Anderson - Nature Male) – EPISODE 1 – So he got his sister back, but I think the bigger thing for Mac that I really liked was that he finally discovered his own powers at the Battle of 3 Worlds.  He’s settled his arguments with both Sabrina and Kate and so I am pretty content with him for right now.
(Kate Anderson - Nature Female) – EPISODE 12 – Kate has been rescued, so that’s actually a better thing for her than for anyone else.  Kate got a strange letter though, and I think that will be the quest Kate will go on for Season 3.  I like that she will have her very own mystery to solve.
Fell6 (Jenni Valentine - Energy Female) – EPISODE 1 – Jenni has really shined now that she has escaped from the Ferris Institute.  I’ve always liked Jenni, but she has now shown that she shines brighter than most characters could even dream of.
(Violet Summer - Magic Female) – EPISODE 12 – Well, she did improve for me since the last time I left off, BUT that doesn’t say much.  She was still a disappointment as a main, but I am glad to see her go under Jenni’s wing.  I am hoping she has somewhere to go for Season 3.
ForYouSelena - (Sabrina Del Rosa - Holy Female) – EPISODE 1 – Because she got resurrected, she does not go into the In Memorium section like the rest of those who died goes to.  Anyway, throughout the season, her flashbacks gave me the impression that Sabrina has developed as far as she can go, and that she got so many actually put a damper in my enjoyment of her character a little bit.  But I still love seeing Sabrina in this series.  Maybe Season 3 will prove me wrong in the development area for Sabrina, but really, how can Sabrina develop any more from what we see now?
Coolkat - (Chandler Park - Poison Female) – EPISODE 1 – Chandler has shown real consistency since the beginning of the series, so while Crimson may have been Season 1’s most balanced character, this time that honor definitely goes to Chandler.  She has a perfect balance of friendliness, sass, and courage that I just cannot ignore.  I am hoping she does not nosedive next season.
Lynette - (Natalya Hernandez - Fire Female) – EPISODE 1 – Ever since she came back, she hasn’t done anything to impress me and all that has happened is her getting recaptured.  At this point, I don’t what I would want to see Natalya do next season, as long as she actually DOES something.  Otherwise, she might as well have been killed off by now.
IceIceBaby - (Crimson Wilson - Fire Female) – EPISODE 2 – Ever since Season 2 began, my respect for Crimson has fallen quite a bit.  With these last few episodes, Crimson is finally dealing with what she has done now that she has fallen down a spiraling decline.  She still has a chance for redemption with this next season, and I hope she will be able to recuperate, but yeah, Season 2 was just horrid for Crimson on all sides.
RyanAndrews - (Samuel Weeks - Air Male) – EPISODE 1 – That cliffhanger with Samuel really had me confused for him.  Is he working for the Justice Syndicate?  Lol  Is he good or evil?  The only thing I can say is that now that he’s become someone beyond John’s shadow, he has become one of the most mysterious characters coming into Season 3.
_Ivyyy_445 - (Bailey Jaxxon - Human) – EPISODE 1 – These past 3 episodes have shown just how much Bailey has grown this season.  What was a bad season for Crimson was actually a great season for Bailey.  I really hope that she and Chandler can become good friends again.  That scene at the café really made me feel warm, especially towards Bailey.  She will be interesting to watch for this next season.
topazisqueen – (Brittany Rose - Poison Female) – EPISODE 11 – She finally accepts that she has lost her phone and won’t be getting a new one.  That being said, she hasn’t really improved other than that recently, so if Brittany is gonna be someone to deal with for Season 3, she will need to really up her game.
JourdanBabyXoXo - (Adore Laison - Fire Female) – EPISODE 11 – Like many others, my opinion on Adore just hasn’t really hasn’t changed.  I wish there was more I could say for Adore, but I just really can’t think of anything to say about her that I haven’t already said in previous assessments.
KaseyHope101 - ("Ruthie" Margaritiana - Human) – EPISODE 12 – As weird as I’ve thought her to be, I am actually glad she has turned ruthless to end off Season 2.  Actually, her entrance in the season finale reminds me a bit of Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective, namely this scene:

Last episode was a good episode for her, so I am looking forward to seeing if Ruthie will actually become something for Season 3.
Rawr121 - (Anthony Kuryente - Magic Male) – EPISODE 12 – Just like Wendy lost Mia, this guy has lost Ariel.  That being said, I got to see where he was coming from.  He didn’t ask for his powers, but he knows that he has them and so he will learn to cope with them.  Also like Wendy, he will have his chance to grow in Season 3 now that Ariel is gone.  I hope Anthony can capitalize.
Jkjkjk15 - (Jayla Helix - Human) – EPISODE 12 – Losing Veronica has managed to hit her, but being second banana to Bailey is not much of an accomplishment.  But judging from the cliffhanger we saw at the end of Season 2, then just like Samuel, Jayla will have her own mystery for Season 3 that she’s been set up for.
Abnormal - (Gabriel Montez - Magic Male) – EPISODE 12 – With him being rescued for some reason, I am hoping he has learned something from just going out to the bar to try to get laid because that was dumb af on his part.  I do want to see his sassiness and cockiness make a return for Season 3 though.

People whose characters sadly did not make it to the final 3 episodes of the season:
Booyahhayoob

Here are the Awards for Season 2 and who gets what.  Do not get bitter if you win a negative or do not win an Award at all.  I’ve put a lot of consideration into who gets these Awards, and if there’s a choice you don’t agree with, make your own Awards Show.  :)

Best Episode – The Funeral (The Battle of 3 Worlds came very close)
Favorite Moment – a tie between Jenni and Violet escape the Ferris Institute and Jenni confronting Crimson for drugging her
Most Insane Moment – Crimson drugging Jenni (solely because I actually thought Jenni had actually died from that)
Favorite Character Overall – it was a close race between 3 people, but in the end, I have to go with Chandler Parks
Favorite Newcomer – Arlene Giles (she was NOT one of the 3 people in the running for Favorite Character Overall)
Least Favorite Character – Brittany Rose
Most Shocking Twist – Crimson drugging Jenni
Most Shocking Death – Sabrina Del Rosa (I know she was resurrected, BUT she even though she is still alive now, she still died before Mia brought her back to life)
Saddest Death – tie between John Doe and Danny Mott
Saddest Moment – tie between Samuel losing John Doe and Edward losing his son
Most Robbed Male – Edward Mott
Most Robbed Female – Mia Myan
Most Improved Character – Jenii Valentine
Most Wanted to see more of – Ariel Moore
Most Redeemed Character (meaning I needed to have warmed up to the character in some way after hating their guts at some point) – Bailey Jaxxon
Biggest Fall From Grace (means I really liked the character coming into the season, only for them to fall flat on their face throughout the season) – Crimson Wilson
Dumbest Decision – tie between Crimson drugging Jenni and Gabriel getting himself captured by Ruthie
Best Human – Bailey Jaxxon

And that will do it for Season 2 of Descendants of the Guardians.  I probably should have waited till tomorrow to write this, but after going through a mid-season finale, I felt like I could keep a finale train going here too.  Hope you all had as much fun reading this as I did making this.  And I hope you all enjoyed the Award Ceremony.

I will leave with one question: What are your biggest hopes for Season 3?  Let me know!  :)

Until Season 3, farewell!
