#15. Da'Vonne Rogers- Big Brother 17 (16th)
When the cast for Big Brother 17 was released, everyone was hyped by the amount of (what appeared to be) strong women that were casted. Among those women was Da'Vonne who was an immediate fan favorite of America. Her charisma and humor was some of the reason that many viewers tuned in. Whether it was her sassy diary room sessions or her shit talking the other houseguests with Jason, you couldn't help but appreciate this bright new face (and only African American female that had been cast in a while and appeared to stand a good shot at making it far from the start).
When the game began Da'Vonne made a big move by sitting out of the HOH competition, and she was smart enough to know that it would more than likely mean safety (which it did, as well as her being able to grant safety to another houseguest). Things appeared to be going in favor of Da'Vonne throughout week 1, however a turn of events had changed all of this for her in the coming week.
Da'Vonne had gotten into an argument with Audrey (hot mess express) and seemed to have the house's support on her side. However the person who she needed on her side the most was Shelli (the current HOH), and she favored Audrey. This lead to Da'Vonne ending up on the block with Meg who was a perfect pawn at the time to go up against a future threat.
Da'Vonne ended up being evicted in 16th place that week with only two people saving her (Jason and Audrey). Had a large alliance not formed as usual, Da'Vonne could have made it deep into the game. The only reason Da'Vonne isn't higher up on my list is because she did have a tad bit of an obnoxious personality. Although this was great for us viewers, it could have been a big force as to why she didn't have a bigger chance at making it further into the game.
best shut the fuck up. And if you mention them at least mention Kalia who had enough jury votes to win in the end but lost cause grod doesn't want her alliance to get to the end
best shut the FUCK UP. That was five weeks beforehand. Yes it was a dumb move looking back, but at the time Julie made it clear someone was returning & her and Daniele tried to outsmart the twist and it backfired.
Oh well, she made up for it at the double eviction. I hate how people ALWAYS bring up that move with Kalia. EVERY BB PLAYER MAKES STUPID MOVES. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. THAT DOESN'T MEAN KALIA WASN'T ROBBED OF HER POTENTIAL SPOT IN THE FINALS CONSIDERING IT WAS HER & DANI VS PRODUCTION'S PETS & AMERICA FOR A MAJORITY OF THE SEASON.
As much as I like Da'Vonne, she's not a robbed goddess. She brought it upon herself by arguing with Audrey, and that was her downfall. It's her fault for not keeping her mouth shut.
She was not robbed. She was so stupid running her mouth when all she had to do was sit back and shut up. She was safe week one, she didn't have to do shit. And the reason Shelli wanted her out was because there was some secret alliance that was forming and both Clay and Davone were in it. Clay wanted to bring Shelli in, and Davone wouldn't let him. Obviously Clay was more loyal to Shelli, and Davone dug her own grave by trying to be controlling and outspoken. So Davone basically told Shelli(the current HOH)'s showmance that she wanted Shelli out. How dumb can you be. That will clearly get back to Shelli and put a target on her back. Plus they tried to rig the week 2 twist for her and she still couldn't get the votes.
