Happy Easter Weekend (Or Happy Friday for those who don’t celebrate)! The Tengaged Moderation team has teamed up with SmoothStalker12 once again to bring back the Official Tengaged Easter Egg Hunt!
Here is how the 2022 Tengaged Easter Egg Hunt will work:
— The Event will take place tomorrow (Saturday), Sunday, and Monday.
— Each day, approximately 200 total eggs will be hidden on a Tengaged user's **FIRST** blog. A total of approximately 600 eggs will be hidden throughout the weekend.
— The eggs will be hidden throughout the day, meaning if you are late at seeing the announcement, that does not mean you do not have a chance!
— The first user (and ONLY the first) to comment that they claim the egg will receive credit for finding the egg. You must comment directly below on the blog where the egg is posted, not on this blog. The exact comment that you post does not matter, but make sure to say something along the lines of "claims the egg."
— All you have to do is look in the 1st blog a user has made and look for an Easter Egg. They will have been posted either by brandonpinzu, CheapCheep, koolness234 or SmoothStalker12. See below for some examples. Make sure that they were posted on either April 16th, 17th, or 18th, and were only posted by those users.
— Eggs only count if you claim them for yourself. You cannot claim for another user.
PRIZES:
— You will receive 3T$ for EVERY EGG that you claim. There will be a cap of 400T$ for the weekend to be earned through this method. So, if a user finds over 200 eggs, they will still count towards their grand total, but they will not receive the additional 2T$ per egg beyond 400T$.
— Users who find the top 3 amounts of eggs will be eligible for grand prizes:
1ST PLACE: 500T$ + 1 Stars Ticket
2ND PLACE: 300T$ + 1 Stars Ticket
3RD PLACE: 200T$ + 1 Stars Ticket
— Each day, three raffles will occur where two random users who found an egg will be entered into a draw to win either a Stars ticket or 100T$ (one of each per day). That means, in addition to the prizes above, three additional stars tickets and three 100T$ prizes will be given out. If you find an egg, your name is entered into the draw. Finding more than one egg will not enter you multiple times.
— If you win a Stars ticket, you can choose when to be entered into Stars. More info will be given to those who win them.
Additionally, there will be some GOLDEN EGGS hidden throughout the weekend. If you find a golden egg, you will receive 100T$. They will be much rarer and much more difficult to find, so good luck!
NOTE: THE USERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE ACTIVE. IT CAN BE ANY TENGAGED USER.

Since the beginning of March, the Tengaged Advisory Council (TAC) has been in place to serve as an advisory body to myself, CheapCheep, and koolness234. Initially, the main purpose of the TAC was to serve as a group of Tengaged users who we could consult on rule changes and major decisions where we lacked certainty on how to proceed. The TAC was great during our first 6 months or so as moderators as there was a big mess to clean up due to the unmoderated era of Tengaged. However, we have now decided to abolish the current iteration of the Tengaged Advisory Council and create a re-vamped Advisory Council that we think will be more useful to us as moderators and the Tengaged community as a whole. We very much want to thank alexclow345, EmmaM, Krisstea, PureEssence, Slice, SmoothStalker12 and Washed_Ravioli for being extremely helpful during the last 9 months or so.
Re-Vamping the Tengaged Advisory Council

Going forward, we will be keeping some individuals from the current TAC on board to assist with the new function of the Council, but the focus of the Council itself will be changing. Essentially, the focus of the new TAC will be on special games and special events. We have heard all of your ideas about special games and events that can be brought to Tengaged and know how they are widely appreciated because of the excitement they bring to the website. The reality of being a moderator is that there is only so much time that all of us are able to put into the website given we all live lives outside of the website. The part that usually falls through the cracks is the planning of special events and special games, which is why we want to bring a whole team forward to help in the planning and executing of these events.
We are looking to add members to the team who have great ideas for special events, and perhaps have some experience hosting/planning events themselves. Below are some positions that we are looking for some assistance with.
Event Coordinators will be responsible for the planning and executing of special events. From Special Stars to Holiday Events to Moderation Endorsed Special Games, the Event Coordinators will be able to help in a variety of ways of making these events more common. The way that help is given may differ, as in some of the Event Coordinators may personally help host events, or may just contribute ideas to the moderation team.
We are looking for people who have been on Tengaged for a solid amount of time and have great ideas to contribute. Having experience hosting games and events is not necessary but will help!

Social Media Team Positions

Members of the social media team will assist with the Tengaged social media. This will take form of things like the creation of content to the planning of special giveaways and reveals of upcoming events.

To apply for one of the positions, you can send your applications to ME ( brandonpinzu). Feel free to apply for both, but you will need to submit two applications. To avoid clogging up all three of our mailboxes with applications, I will compile them and share them with CheapCheep and koolness234. From there, we will make a decision on who we think is best fit to assist. Our expectation is that over time, we will be adding more people to the team, but it’s not expected that it will necessarily be on a “rotational” basis like has been once discussed.
Over the course of the last couple of months, a few things have been brought to the moderation team's attention (and randomize's attention) that we have decided to finally address. Of course, in the past, we had higher priorities, but this blog will focus on two topics/rule changes that will now be official: design rules and the black market selling of T$.
For quite some time, users have been asking for the moderation team to turn their focus to finding ways to incentivize current designers to continue making new work for the website. Design permissions have gone unmoderated for as long as I can remember, which has resulted in people's work being posted without their permission or without rhe designer being properly credited. Today, on behalf of the Tengaged Advisory Council, I am happy to announce that this will no longer be the case. Going forward, to post a design by an ACTIVE designer, you will be required to reach out to them and get their permission.
Here is how it will work:
- Permission will be REQUIRED to post designs made by active designers (people who still actively log on the website).
- Design permissions will be posted into the [MOD] Design Permission Group: https://tengaged.com/group/10145-mod-design-permission-group
- Permissions can either be posted by the designer themselves or by the shop owner by posting a screenshot of a TENGAGED MAIL where they received permission to post the design. For example, Slice can post " SmoothStalker12 has permission to post X in their shop this week" or SmoothStalker12 can screenshot the Tengaged mail that indicates he is able to post Slice's design in his shop.
- IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SHOP OWNER TO ENSURE THAT THEY RECEIVE PERMISSION AND POST IT IN THE GROUP. IF YOU ARE REPORTED AFTER NOT RECEIVING PERMISSION/POSTING IT, IT WILL IMPACT YOUR SHOP.
- Designs posted without permission will be removed if they are reported. The total will also be deducted from your shop. Repeat offences may result in a ban if it gets out of hand.
- DESIGNERS are responsible for reporting any instances of their designs being posted without permission. Moderators will not be actively monitoring the design permission group every day, unless a report is brought to our attention BY the designer, NOT a third party (such as another shop owner).
- In some cases, the shop owner may have chance to respond to the reports if we feel designers are being unfair.
- Designs made by users who are no longer active on the site is free to use (unless they've indicated permission will be handled through another user).
- Designers will set the terms of their permission (within reason). For example, it may be that PureEssence only allows Washed_Ravioli to post her designs in his competing shop for a set amount of time. We will accommodate these requests unless they become excessive.
NOTE: These new rules will NOT impact the current shops week. They will come into effect in the NEXT week of shops on Friday, July 9th.
"Black Market" Selling of T$

Over the last few years, there has become an issue on the website where users have been selling their T$, accounts, and shop stocks for real money. Going forward, this will no longer be permitted. This is something that randomize is aware of and wants to stop, so we are implementing rules going forward.
If at any point you are caught selling/purchasing T$ FROM ANOTHER USER (not from the website), you will receive a ban. The ONLY legal way to purchase T$ is through the "Buy T$" button on your profile (https://tengaged.com/paypal ).
Users have been selling their T$ for real money at a discounted rate. After being paid, they would then gift a design out of a shop for the corresponding amount that the buyer purchased. This practice will no longer be allowed on Tengaged.
The punishments will begin at 3 day bans, extend to 7 days on repeated offences, and can go as high as 14 day bans if somebody becomes a continued offender. I understand that this may cause some push back originally, especially given the prices of T$ on the website, but the moderation team's hands are tied on this one. I assure you that we continue to bring up the pricing of T$ to randomize and that it is remaining a topic of discussion. Whether or not it comes to fruition is obviously entirely out of our hands, but we agree with you and will continue to discuss it.
I am fully aware of how this works and will be investigating the anonymous gifts often to check up on this. I will be investigating cases where this is suspected, so it is in your best interest to stop this practice immediately.

I hope you all had a good time hunting for eggs this weekend. After a weekend that was full of a ton of work, I can happily say that the results of the 2022 Tengaged Easter Egg Hunt have been finalized.
As a reminder, the top 3 grand prize recipients will receive the following prizes:

As an incentive for people to look for eggs even if they felt like they were behind in the race for the grand prize, those who found eggs each day were also entered into a daily raffle. Participants will also receive 3T$ per egg that they claimed. The totals will be posted below. Prizes may take a day or two to all go out. Stars ticket recipients will be mailed more information about their ticket in the coming days.

PLEASE NOTE: If there are any discrepancies with your personal counts and ours, please feel free to let us know. There were some instances of people deleting comments (which is almost always caught) so that may explain some differences in your personal tallies. In some instances, two people may have been credited due to users being filtered and mailing us before the egg was claimed. Missing eggs are a combination of unclaimed regular or golden eggs.
