Fogo Tribe Cast Statements

Nov 15, 2014 by Tombique55
Fogo (Green):
Mark Pope (21 year old student/server): Just taking a quick look around at my tribe, I don’t mean to sound cocky, but I’m probably going to be the one that everyone depends on in the challenges. If my tribe decides to get rid of me first, they’re going to be in for one hell of a rough game. You think some old geezer will be carryin’ your ass to the merge? Good luck.

Jean Sturgill (39 year old surgeon): The thing is: Yes, I’m a surgeon; Yes, I’m from a well off family; Yes, I’ve been lucky to have the things I’ve had in life. I’m not ashamed by this in any way, but I won’t be telling my tribe mates about any of this. After seeing how some other castaways were treated because of their wealth, there’s no way I’m willing to let that spill.

Homer Mazza (34 year old employment specialist): My social game is much stronger than my physical game, most definitely. I’m not the most outdoorsy person, so I think my biggest asset lies in my ability to be personable and charismatic. I somehow managed to get a beautiful woman to agree to marry me, so I think I can make the impossible happen sometimes.

Cristina Toohey (42 year old holistic nurse): My life has basically been one long underdog story. My family grew up pretty poor, I had some difficulties in school, and I lost my mom at a very young age to a drug overdose. But I feel like everything bad that happened to me has made me stronger and morphed me into the strong and independent woman I am.

Rufio Reyes (33 year old political scientist): I will admit that I can be wooed over by a pretty set of eyes. I think if it’s the right girl and I feel she has the strategic know-how, I will follow her to the ends of the earth. I think the girls are more willing to be dubious, and I’m more than willing to let them take those chances, make those enemies, and screw their end game.

Helen Dilday (20 year old student): I’m very used to being under-estimated. I think people hear my age and see how I carry myself and they assume that I’m just a big child. But my competition should be worried, absolutely. I’ll be the one in the back of the pack silently strategizing and trying to get one step closer every day.

Fred Wharton (25 year old animal control worker): You know, most of my friends and family told me that auditioning for Survivor would be a huge mistake. I’m not worried though. Even though I’m not the most athletic or adventurous person, I have the tenacity and drive to win. I have all the confidence in the world that Im going to persevere.

Melanie Girard (35 year old HIV/AIDS nurse): This is a trip, I’ll tell you. I mean, Im standing on an island in the middle of the ocean with nothing but water surrounding me. I couldn’t even imagine doing something like this as a kid, but now I’m here! I fully intend to prove my worth and milk every last ounce of this experience that I can.

Jason Edwards (29 year old medical records clerk): I’m beyond thrilled to be out here right now. I live in a very small town, and I’ll be honest I hate it there. I have big dreams about just picking up all I own and leaving it all behind, moving to New York, and living in the hustle and bustle of a large city. The thing is, it’s just never been the right time. Maybe an adventure like this will give me that push.
