Welcome to Survivor: Cape Verde! You 18 Americans are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, and it starts now. Alright, everyone has a bag over there with their names on it; go over there and take a look. Inside your bag will be a buff. If you have an orange buff, stand on the orange mat; if you have a green buff, stand on the green mat.
Green tribe, your name is FOGO. Orange tribe, your name is BRAVA. Here are your maps to your camps, where there will be one pot, one machete, and one bag of rice. The sun will be setting in a few hours and you guys have one long trek ahead of you, so I suggest you start moving out. I will see you all at the first Immunity challenge.

Dannette Scott (36 year old health inspector from Black Mesa, Arizona)
Immunity challenge: The contestants would start on floating platforms. They must swim to a raft tethered out in the ocean. Once their whole tribe gets there, three tribe members must untie the raft from the buoy on the surface, and three more tribe members must dive down and unclip the raft from the ocean floor. Once the raft is set free, one more tribe member must swim to a floating torch and grab fire from it to light the wok in the middle of the raft. Once lit, the whole tribe must swim their raft to the shore. Once on the shore the tribe must carry the raft, slide it under a bamboo cage, and carry it across the finish line where they must light a final torch. The first tribe to light up the final torch wins Immunity and reward. The reward for this challenge is flint and a fire making kit.
During the challenge:
For the Fogo tribe, Mark, Rufio, and Melanie will untie the rope on top, Christina, Helen, and Fred will unclip the raft at the bottom, and Homer will light the torch
For the Brava tribe, Mildred, Edward, and Richard will untie the rope on top, Jeffrey, Margaret, and Dannette will unclip the raft on the bottom, and Vera will light the torch
After the challenge: FOGO WINS THE FIRST IMMUNITY CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
