This season was another one with returnees. A historical season of survivor that a lot of people guessed, this season is:
ALL STARS!
People like to crucify this season but I honestly don't hate it as much as other people. You have to remember, this was an exciting time for the show. This was the first time anyone had ever returned to play the game and this season was going to settle debates about who the best players really were. We saw pretty much all of our favorites come back and tribes were split 3 ways for the first time in survivor history. I honestly really liked that. The show was able to shake up All Stars when they thought they knew everything about the game. Saboga in particular was positive to the season for me. They started off the season with a statement by voting out Tina, causing the first shocking vote. But I thought production did a great job for us to get to know them and the tribe as a whole. We saw Rupert have a big negative moment after he was this unbelievable hero by basically causing the shelter to be flooded with his idea of where to put it. We saw the emotional vote-off of Rudy, who was just too old for a struggling tribe. Then the moment where Saboga knew they were gonna be split up and just stood in a huddle for at least 10 seconds was probably my favorite moment of the season and an underrated one in survivor history.
Mogo Mogo was also interesting once they actually had to start voting people off. Hatch had more naked moments with his controversy, Lex was going around telling people they were gonna be voted off AGAIN and Kathy was actually in a good spot again. The best moment of the season was no doubt the Lex-Rob one. Rob begs Lex to save Amber which he actually does because he's friends with him outside the game and then Rob has that come back to bite Lex in the ass HARD after he just voted out his friend outside the game in Ethan. It was such a badass moment for survivor and not something we've really seen before that.
But unfortunately, that was really the last entertaining part of the season. I went on for a while about the positives that people don't like to talk about but there's reasons why this season only got #22. First of all, there ended up being a lot of filler players from other seasons that came back. I know this isn't really survivor's fault since a lot of people said no but I think it at least needs to be mentioned especially with the female selections. Jenna, Amber, Shii Ann and even Alicia were all questionable choices for women and I found Boston Rob to be the most critical male decision. I know he worked out great but he didn't really deserve to be invited back. There was also the fact that 2 people quit this season for strange reasons. Jenna for her mom which she probably shouldn't have gone out there in the first place because of that and then Sue quits because of "sexual harassment" from Richard. They were 2 pretty big time wasters since they both took up an episode each. Then there's Rob and Amber turning this season into other reality shows where people hook up and get married off the show. They not only did that but dominated the season to really make the last 5 episodes very anti-climatic for an All Stars season. Not to mention everybody in the Chapera alliance with the exception of Tom really didn't do well in their first season.
All Stars is a season that really had great potential but it just wasn't very well executed with the way it played out. It still had its positive moments but in the end, you can't deny the strong negatives it had to keep it this low on my list.

Dinosauro27 You know survivor is a good show when it's still people's favorite reality show in one of the worst seasons. Glad to see he agreed with me about Nicaragua though.
flamingjoe youre a fucking dick. Cook islands actually did have a very good premerge. Not saying the whole season will blow your mind out of the water, but it was pretty fun to watch with cao boi, ozzy dominating, yul playing a very good game, penner flipping, the destruction of the white tribe. All in all it had great people on it and some very enjoyable moments
tiafrsn4 If the "whole season won't blow your mind out of the water", how is it "amazing"? The season was a piece of shit. Terrible editing, terrible cast, terrible challenges, an abundance of bullshit never-ending twists, boring gameplay, an excruciatingly boring post-merge, the most boring F4 ever, etc. How can anyone say that that's "amazing"?
Why are people even guessing that CI will be out next? It's only overrated by the casuals, unless that's what yankeeman311 means?

tiafrsn4 I wasn't being a "baby". The swearing didn't bother me at all. I just think it's very telling when someone resorts to insults and swearing in arguments. It shows that you're unable to argue your point properly, so you have to find alternative methods to try to succeed.
tiafrsn4 How have I been "criticising" you? I made one criticism of you which was that your opinions are bad. The "criticising" was not continuous like you are making it out to be.

And yes, this is an argument: "an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one". That's exactly what we're doing.
