Inside the Jagex ecosystem, we're used to the disappointment, the extensive flaws, the shelved jobs, the broken promises, the non-stop MTX promos, and the weird shit. But they will never survive the Steam stage if (errrr,"when") people catch on to all this tomfoolery. The devs appear to devote a great deal of time on new promos, and Yak Track events. And then new game content suffers for this.
My recommendation would be to criticise efficiently. Give it a downvote should you feel like that. But be clear about the "why". The best reviews are the ones which professionally deal with issue. The content seems slow and lazy for the most part. They are not even enjoyable grinds, I hated every minute of it and am back in an Buy OSRS gold hiatus following finishing.
But in 4 decades the updates have contributed nothing of notice that isn't a traditional shitty mill; there is something basically wrong with the game's priorities. I can not blame the team too much as they're in the weird position of needing to develop the more complex game but also make it incredibly mtx friendly at the same time for a smaller foundation, which is the complete contrary to what osrs has.
My view is also skewed as a player who had been dropped from rs2 into rs3 rather than being new when rs3 came out, and I would never warn any possible player away from rs3 (unless they perform laptops that can not handle it like my old one lol), but this game demands a great deal of help. It's stuck in a poor cycle where the old base doesn't wish to take care of mtx but mtx is the one thing keeping it floating at this time.
It was meant to be a priff for mid to low levels which it does well in that you've got plenty to perform at reduced levels, but falls short because you fast out level that material. If there were constantly new people joining the game it probably would have a decent number of people in it.
A safe bet is saying it is probably going to be fairly standard with higher res and resizable modes, if fortunate maybe it'll have further view-range and further zooming out. The conventional zoom range is absolutely suffocating and restrictive. I still remember feeling like that I could never get the camera to a spot where I can see where I am moving without it dragging on the ground.
