Honestly if you've never tried , try them aside from the entire world and the lore along with the set of skills to train they have essentially evolved into two completely different games, osrs in my view is just way way less generic and ridiculously over the top, and it is what most older players actually know, and also what they fell in love to start with.
They both have their strong and weak points, and it ultimately only comes down to what kind of match you really want to play with
I'd vouch for you to attempt OSRS, if you don't mind the grind, it's over 2x the playerbase and is not infested with MTX, unlike RS3
Do not get me wrong, there's much more to being a fantastic RS player than with a large cashpile, and a great deal of what really counts can't be purchased with gp, but having a large cashpile since you spent like $100 on MTX will definitely give you an edge over players who do not purchase MTX, regardless of which version of the game we are referring to.
If you would like to grind endlessly osrs if you are looking for a more contemporary casual encounter rs3vFor an MMO that I can just kind of drama to enjoy, I've always favored RS3. It cut back on the mill and pushed more of this high level stuff/combining items for higher efficiency and less work. That is part of the reason why some people hate itThey really enjoy the grind. For grindy stuff, I've always favored Monster Hunter, in which it's less quantity of grind and more problem of mill.
