I've definitely achieved the latter. It's a small XP/hr increase, and since the bot follows a set path around the corner (except when it sees that a mob), doing this helps accelerate it from your area of the map.
Furthermore, if you farm lions near Dun Garok you can acquire big venom sacs and bruiseweed, that can be used for elixir of poison resistance. Quite lucrative if you were planning to be grinding anyhow.Did this in Burning Steppes when I leveled a warrior on a new server. Couldn't solo the elite dragons for ony however there was a bot hunter killing them. Worked out well.
If you are a hunter and also have among the zones animals tamed the bot will target the pet and split it till you walk from sight.I really bothers you guys and the rest of the couples enjoying WoW together.
