SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Episode 7

Dec 24, 2021 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The tribes swapped. On the new Jelly tribe, Christine realized she was the only person from the original Jelly tribe still on it, but was happy to see her duo Stacey. Hali saw that she was in the middle. “It’s clearly David and Lauren as a pair and Christine and Stacey as a pair,” Hali said, “So I just have to observe and see which duo I most want to stick with if we lose in the challenge.”

At the new Peanut Butter beach, Shan realized she was also the only one from her original tribe, but also saw an opportunity to bond with Wendell and Crystal. “I know black power is so important to me,” Shan said, “And I do think it would be fun to play this game together.” Wendell was happy seeing this as a way to revive his game after being on the outs. Kelley Wentworth, however, didn’t completely trust Shantel. “If I want to work with Ricard down the line in the merge, I might have to take the shot at Shan now so they can’t meet up in the merge.”

At the Jam beach, the tribe didn’t spend much time with meet and greets and immediately went scrambling, knowing an idol was likely hidden. Tony and Sarah reunited and searched for the idol together, while Kenny hustled knowing he had made a big move and was once again in a minority on the tribe. However, it was Ricard who found the idol and decided to keep it a secret. “It was right here at camp, so while everyone was out scrambling in the jungle, I was here minding my own business and it proved to pay off,” he said.

At the immunity challenge, the three tribes had to knock down a series of targets, to then use the targets as stepping stones to get across a rope bridge. Immediately, Wendell led the Peanut Butter tribe to an early lead, while Ricard led the charge for Jam. Jelly struggled, especially since nobody was particularly great at throwing. However, Lauren was able to hit the targets and get Jelly back in the game. On the ropes bridge, Peanut Butter sailed through easily to get the immunity win. It became a race for last with Jelly and Jam, and Tony and Bret were struggling to get across for the Jam tribe. However, with the Jelly tribe, Stacey and Christine were having a bit of a struggle. In the end, the Jelly tribe came in clutch with the win with Stacey getting across the finish line a second before Bret.

Back at camp, Bret was devastated, and Tony and Sarah agreed that he was the weakest link. “I don’t mind booting Bret,” Sarah said, “He just didn’t contribute well.” Tony pulled Kenny aside to attempt to swing him to their side. “I want to work with you,” Kenny said, but secretly, he really didn’t trust Tony. Ricard talked to Bret and said that it was probably going to be one of them. “Sarah is obviously going to work with Tony, and Tony’s got Kenny,” Ricard said, “And between me and you, I’d assume they’d go for you because of the challenge.” Bret was upset, but Ricard recommended giving Kenny a talk, just in case. Bret talked to Kenny and Kenny actually seemed interesting in considering flipping. “I’m once again in a power position and I never expected it,” Kenny said, “But I have the power to take out a huge player in this game. The question is, is it too soon to make the move or not?”

At tribal council, Tony said he was nervous, but felt more secure than ever having Sarah and Kenny both on the same tribe. “Kenny and I worked together for most of the game already, and Sarah is my partner,” Tony said. Kenny said it was a clear-cut vote, and it actually seemed pretty tame at camp. Bret expressed his disappointment knowing he was probably the one going. “I just want to throw a pitch out there and just say that we have a pair of truly terrifying winners here,” Bret said, “And with only 5 people on our tribe, this is the time to make the move.” Once the votes were tallied, nobody stood to play an idol. Ricard and Bret voted Tony while Tony and Sarah voted for Bret. It came down to Kenny who voted out Tony, surprising both Tony and Sarah. The group did applaud Tony for surviving as long as he did, and Tony was just happy to have done better than his Game Changers game.
