SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Episode 12

imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Seeing that Sarah went home, Wendell and Shan knew they were on the outs. They bonded, knowing that they had so much worth fighting for, even beyond the game. “To know that I can trust you,” Shan said, “it’s a type of bond that can’t be broken, and I do hope we can find a way to run this to the very end.” Wendell reciprocated, but also knew that he was in deep water, with only one real ally left. “If there’s anything I can do to sway this game back in our favor,” Wendell said, “I will do it.”

Meanwhile, Kelley and Lauren celebrated being on the right side of the vote, knowing that Wentworth was close to going home. They thanked Jenn, Christine, and Hali for staying with them, but Christine was a bit worried about them. “These are two strong players,” Christine said, “And I just don’t know how I feel about them and Kenny and Crystal’s bond,” Christine said. “I’m the only single amongst three couples, so I have to be very careful that Kelley and Lauren don’t outrank me on the totem pole.” Christine chatted with Wendell and asked if he’d ever be willing to team up with her, and Wendell said that he would be desperate for alliances. “I think the singles need to band together right now. There’s only three of us against three couples. If we can split up a couple soon, we can squeeze our way to the end,” he said. Christine had to consider it, but knew this could be a potential move to make.

At the challenge, the castaways found out that they had to hang on for dear life to a bar hanging above the sea-water. The last one left up on the bar would be immune, meanwhile the FIRST one to drop would be immediately eliminated. Everyone was on edge, knowing that one slip could end their entire game. Everyone took their positions, and immediately, Wendell started sweating of nervousness, while Kenny and Crystal tried their best not to lose their grip. But it was unfortunately Hali who dropped first, ending her Survivor journey quickly. Jenn, out of sadness, dropped to console her duo. Crystal, Christine, Wendell, and Shan all fell, and they all consoled her as well. “Even if we didn’t work together,” Shan said, “it’s always tough to see someone go home this way.” This left Kenny, Lauren, and Wentworth hanging on for deal life. Kenny told Lauren and Wentworth that they were both safe with him. Lauren, knowing she had an idol, dropped to minimize her threat level, and Wentworth told Kenny she trusted him, and dropped, giving Kenny the immunity to show loyalty.

Back at camp, Kenny and Wentworth met up to solidify their bond. “Final four here we come,” Kenny said. Meanwhile, Jenn was upset seeing her best friend go home, and Christine approached her saying, “If you want an extra motivation, why don’t we make a big move tonight?” in which Jenn listened. “Now that your duo is gone, that leaves four singles against two duos. If we go after the duos tonight, we could really shake up this game,” she told Jenn. Jenn liked the idea, and immediately went to Wendell and Shan to discuss a game plan. “Ideally, Kenny would go home but he has immunity,” Wendell said, “And I don’t think Crystal is worth getting rid of right now.” This meant that the group had to split up Kelley and Lauren. “We just have to go for the person less likely to have an idol,” Shan said.

Meanwhile, Kelley, Lauren, Ken, and Crystal talked to Jenn and Christine about splitting votes between Wendell and Shan. “That seems like the best plan,” Lauren said. The plan was for Lauren, Kelley, and Ken to vote Wendell and for Christine, Crystal, and Jenn to vote for Shan. Ken, however, noticed that Jenn and Christine were a bit quiet, and they were concerned that maybe there were other plans in store. “Should I play my idol today?” Lauren asked. Kelley said she may want to, but just didn’t know who they were voting for. “If there’s a flip, we just have to make sure we put the idol on who’s most likely to get votes,” Kelley said.

At tribal council, Jenn said that losing Hali gave her a new motivation she needed to finish the game strong. “I feel like I’ve been living in the shadows,” Jenn said, “And I think it’s now time to make a big move.” Christine said that it was tough because there was no telling what other twists and idols would come their way. “There are lots of couples here,” she said, “But at the same time, I voted with these couples. So it’s a matter of who to trust.” After the vote, Kelley looked to Lauren, who stood up. “For some reason,” Lauren said, “I have an uneasy feeling.” Lauren played the idol on HERSELF, which was the right move since FOUR whole votes came her way. “Wow, good thing I did that,” she said. The next vote went to Shan, but the remaining three went to Wendell, sending him packing. Wendell embraced Shan, knowing he did everything he could. Christine and Jenn, meanwhile, were worried knowing they flipped on their alliances.
