SURVIVOR: REALITY SHOWDOWN Episode 3

imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Christian on the outs, he knew he had to do some damage control back at camp. He approached Jeremy first and foremost, knowing Jeremy was a strong player and told him that he wanted to work together. “I know that if I went home next, the girls would pick you off,” he told Jeremy, “and I’d be happy to be a shield to you going forward.” Jeremy knew that his meat shield strategy worked perfectly on Survivor: Cambodia and maybe he should implement the same strategy this time. On the Amazing Race tribe, Becca was getting annoyed at Claire’s lack of camp help. Becca pulled her friend Jamal aside and said that she wanted to get rid of Claire if they lost. “We have to pull in other numbers,” Jamal said, “I think James is a bit hard to read, and he’s tight with Hung. So I think we should go to Flight Time.” Jamal and Flight Time talked and Flight Time was down to go along with the plan. “Tribe strength is good,” Flight Time said, “And I definitely think Claire and Hung are probably holding us back.” At the Big Brother camp, Danielle was surprised by how calm everything seemed. “I want to go look for an idol because I don’t know where any of the tribe’s dynamics lie,” she said, and she told Tiffany to watch her back. “I’m gonna go look for an idol and I need you to make sure nobody sees me,” Danielle said. Tiffany was excited that Danielle was so down to play with her. “Danielle and I have an unspoken trust,” Tiffany said, “and if I have her on one side and Derek and Alyssa on the other,” Tiffany said, “then I’ll be able to run this season and go against Tyler and Cody who are going to run away with it should they make the end.” Tyler and Cody, on the other hand, were very suspicious of Danielle and Tiffany. “They’re just masterminds,” Cody said, “and we need to take the shot first otherwise they’re going to get us.” Tyler then proceeded to look for an idol and found one, celebrating with Cody. “We should wait till we know exactly where Derek and Alyssa’s loyalties lie before saying anything about this idol,” Tyler said. The two boys continued to celebrate. At the challenge, the tribes needed to do an obstacle course but in the water. Tiffany and Claire sat out. The Survivors and Big Brother tribes pulled ahead early, with Cody and Tyler leading the Big Brother tribe to a surprising head start. The Amazing Racers were falling behind, with James, Hung, and Flight Time all struggling to keep up with Becca and Jamal. At the puzzle stage, it was Derek and Danielle working on the Big Brother puzzle while Christian and Michele started working for the Survivors. When the Racers finally made it to their puzzle mat, Big Brother had won the challenge. James and Hung were trying to prove themselves and surpassed Christian and Michele to win the challenge. Back at the Survivor camp, Christian was shocked he lost a puzzle, and Michele and Lauren immediately told Janet and Jeremy that Christian was an easy out. Jeremy, however, was still worried about what Christian said about him being the only guy left if Christian went. Jeremy told Michele that he was nervous about it, and Michele reassured him that she would prioritize her relationship with Jeremy over Lauren and Janet. Christian told Michele and Jeremy that Janet was hard to beat later in the game and he wanted to keep the tribe as strong as possible. At tribal council, Janet said that she hoped it would be a clear cut vote. “Christian was on the outs of last vote, and he blew the puzzle,” Janet said, “I love Christian but I do think he is the easy boot.” “I may be an easy boot,” Christian said, “but this game is anything but easy especially with a possible swap down the line.” Jeremy said that this vote would determine exactly how this team would progress for the rest of the game. After the votes were cast, nobody played an idol. The first vote, from Christian, went to Janet, and the rest of the votes stuck together to get out Christian. Christian was disappointed, but wished them luck. In a shocking twist, it was announced that the Survivors would be dissolved into the Big Brother and Amazing Race tribes in an epic, early tribe swap.
